Choke Cherry Canyon Trail Run

This run is to meet up Sat. Jan. 18th at the WalMart on Hwy 528 & 550 at 7:45am to 8am, leaving by 8:15am, convoy up to Farmington, approx. 170 miles, 3 hours travel. I have been talking to Four Corners 4x4 and Richard Jenkins, some of them will be joining us as well. Their site 4x4tricks has video and pics , trail names and locations for anyone to view. I am also planning on staying over night at a hotel, a couple will give group discounts if more are interested. So get into town, check in, hit the trails from noon to 5pm or so , group dinner & drinks, wake up early , hit more trails, head back to Alb in late afternoon. Yes it will be cold, hopefully snow on the ground. Depending on interest will determine the trails being run. On their site it shows , moderate, difficult and extreme, so a good mix. I would say a minimum rig set up is a working heater, 1 locker, 33's, recovery equipment. More info to follow and also at NMORJG as well at NMOFFROAD

Hey Guys I have to work on Saturday, but would very much like to wheel sunday. Will you guys be making a day of sunday or just a short trip and then back home? If sunday is going to be a good day my wife and will most likely ride up and hit the trails with you guys then. What time will you be starting Sunday morning?

Just fyi, construction from Bloomfield to Farmington is a mess, I would recommend turning west on Rd. 5500 before you get to Bloomfield to avoid it. 5500 will take you back to hwy 64 at the light by the casino.

I will put up pics later too. Had a great time, good seeing Paul, Courtney and Julian along with Doug, Dillion and the rest. Dillion needs to keep Brian off the radio lol. Did he push you outof the closet or what? Lmao at that one. Sorry you had to be there. I evenhad to use my winch on myself. Other than a popped bead and Doug pulling off his muffler, no carnage so that was good. Some tough obstacles especially for us non locked guys.

So much diversity, from full blown Toy buggies, samuri, JK, JKUR, TJ, LJ, XJ, YJ, CJ. Everyone knowing exactly what to do and immediately jumping in to help when a bead popped off to get it right back on, to 3 winch ups for the unlocked. We ALL did Playground 1 and 2, Anasazi refrigerator, Garage, RJ's trails, great huge group dinner at 3 rivers after, stopped by Shiprock for some nice relaxing family time.

Garage was amazing and the arch was really cool to find! Garage door was only crawled by a few, seemed a bit tight for my 4 door, I really want to try garage door in the summer with my top and doors off.

Hey, if you're gonna be old you might as well be crazy. I'm really bummed I missed you guys, hopefully you had enough fun to want to come back SOON. We plan on doing some camping up in mancos this summer so maybe you can show us some trails up there.

I'll let you park at my place so nobody messes with you. Might even let you use the bathroom for a small fee, #1 only though.
