Any in Conroe?

Hello, Just got my 1st Jeep!! Anyone in the Conroe area? It's only been a week and she still has city tires on her. But I would like to start meeting some other Jeep people around here.

I have not lived in Houston long so input on good places to go play would be great.

I'm in montgomery right next to Conroe. I'd be willing to head out sometime.

We live in Conroe, and are always looking to find a place to 4 wheel. Been to General Sams off road park in Huntsville. They have camping areas and lots of trails. We were new and had stock tires when we visited there, have not been back since we have gotten a little experience and a lift and tires.

Planning on heading to the Ozark mountains (hot springs)and get a "Badge of Honor" to run a few trails there in March and the Palo Duro Canyon Jeep Jamboree in May. excited about that one.

We run to Galveston, Freeport and hit the dunes. Have driven the old beach road from Galveston to Port Arthur (that is tricky and should not be done alone) also best to run it during low tide. Its very desolate, and air down is crucial and recommend a full tank of fuel, cell phone service is spotty at best ....

We also go to Fredericksburg quite a bit because of our deer lease. Lots of big granite hills and dry creaks to explore (get rancher permission first ) that is very close to enchanted rock.

Were just getting started and have had a blast just by ourselves but it would be nice to know some folks to go with. I know there are lots of folks here in Conroe with nice rigs that spend time in the dirt and not just at the mall.

I am in Spring. I am looking to get started doing some off road stuff. I have been on some beaches Galveston and Padre Island ,and snow in Ohio. I don't look to do dangerous stuff, I just want to have some fun and learn how to do it properly.

I have a stock 2004 Rubicon. My only mod is a Skull gear shift knob.
