Ouch!

Im not even close...500 miles east of you.

There is a jeeping outfit in Terlingua that might be able to offer some assistance...but that's still a couple of hours from you. 1-800-839-7238

Can you remove the belt and hand turn the pulley backwards? It could be a piece of debris.

You can run an engine without a belt for a few minutes.....watch your heat.

Plan your hops very carefully and know that you only get a few before you have no battery left to start the engine for the next hop.

I dont recall any sort of service options in Marathon (about 45 miles north of you) so I dont think it is worth the risk of trying to hop to Marathon. I know there is no service options at panther junction in the park and you would never make it that far.

Im trying to find solutions for you.

another option -
Stillwell Store has an RV park.
Your profile photo doesnt show you having a tow bar (that would be too easy) but if any of those RVers might have a trailer that you could get all-four tires on...they might be willing to "rescue you" and give you a ride to the dealerships in Alpine....quite a haul, as you know.

Sunday...memorial day weekend...all stuff you've already been thinking about. This is gonna suck.

On the bright side...
It looks like Autozone in Alpine has an Idler Pully in stock for you...$16.00
808 E HOLLAND AVE
ALPINE, TX 79830
(432) 837-5029

I know thats 80 miles from you...but if you talk real nice-like to 'em they MIGHT be willing to send their parts runner. Doubtful...but worth a shot.

I'm not sending PM's cuz I dont know if OP is checkikng those, but I know he's checking the open forum.
