Bank fishing - North DFW

I'm taking a day off on Wednesday to go fishing. Can anyone recommend a public access location that will give me the opportunity to use my Jeep to get to it (off the paved path)? I'm in McKinney and willing to drive to the following lakes:

Lewisville
Ray Roberts
Ray Hubbard
Lavon
Grapevine
Texoma

I haven't been fishing in about 20 years and never in this area, so any recommendation would be greatly appreciated. We are looking for bass (not as likely without a boat, but worth a shot), catfish, and maybe perch.

30 hours later and no response...either no one in the DFW area goes fishing, or you're not divulging your favorite fishing holes.

If you don't mind getting your feet wet, there's an island off the southern shore of Grapevine Lake... not too far west of the Gaylord Texan. There are public parks there with free parking, you'd just have to wade to the island which isn't very big but usually doesn't have a lot of people on it and you could probably fish all day there undisturbed.
