Beach between Beaumont and Bolivar

Has anyone ever drove the whole way through. I have done a lot of surf fishing on this beach and drove a few miles up from the High Island side. Was just wonderin if anyone has ever made the whole trip. Allways thought it would be a nice little day trip for a group of capable rigs to start at one end drive the beach and them loop back around.

There can be some perty nice scenery on this beach. Jeeps arnt the only thing that are topless on it. ;-)

Been years. I used to drive thru from south of Winnie to Galveston. Check to see if the highway is open. It's a long boring drive with nothing but sand and gulf! No facilities until you get to Bolivar. Take the ferry even for a round trip!

Me and my buddy drove down it a ways. didn't see anything too treacherous (as long as you stay on the trail) we got bored and turned around after taking some pics. not sure if it gets more interesting the further you go but thats what i got from it.
