ATX14 - Yes we made the trip. Had 9 Jeeps in the caravan and had a blast.

Black Gap is now just another Sunday drive in the National Park. Stock jeep and stock tires will have no difficulty.

State park is a real blast. Visited the Solitario, drove the Road to Nowhere. Best of all was a short 4 mile trail that took over 4 hours. The state park is a definite bucket list item.

Sounds like a great time. I had thought about linking up with you on this trip after reading your earlier posts, but I didn't make it happen. I will make the trip but maybe in the fall when weather is cooler. Thanks for replying.

Pics and video of Big Bend Ranch SP

As promised, here are some pics and a video of the drive from the Lower Shutup Trailhead to Tres Papalotes in BBRSP. Beautiful and VERY isolated.

Tres Papalotes camp site. The only facilities were picnic tables and a composting toilet.
