How far is it from here? A couple of my friends and I are thinking of going. Will a 3" lift and 31's make it out there?

Just outside of las cruces. Take I10 west to I25, take exit 7 off of 25 for Donna Anna. Go under the highway, refuel at one of the two gas stations, go about a mile to Dona Ana road and take a right. The turn off is a few miles down past a couple farms. A 3" lift would do fine, it's an easy trail. I've seen a stock Durango out there before. If you need better directions pm me your phone number and ill give you a call.

When I'm up and running I'll set up a trip my engine is in just waiting for the install and children are always welcome. And so are beers. Ask anyone who has run with us. Probably looking at two weeks

Anyone know of a good place here in El Paso to get an alignment done? Doing my 2.5 lift tomorrow and that will be on the short order list.

I've always just done it myself on my TJ. Assuming the JK only has a toe adjustment like the tj I would recommend saving the money and just do it yourself. Here is how to do it on the tj:

Thanks man. I just read that exact write-up and it looks pretty easy. I think finding the caster angle would be the hardest part but I don't think 2.5" will affect it too much...either way I don't have adjustable lower control arms anyway to rectify the issue even if it was a problem.

We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

BTY, saw your pics of the Dona Ana trip; looked fun!

Yeah, it was a fun one. I was kicking myself for not reaching out to you before going on that trip. Sadly, I didn't think about it until I was on my way home. I am booked all weekend or I would offer to help with your lift and alignment. Free next weekend though if you end up postponing for any reason.

Its all good. I saw the guys talking about the run and was gonna chime in but I got caught up in some other things during the weekend.

Anyway got done installing the lift today. Ran into some roadblocks along the way which really tested my patience but its done and seemed to ride great on the test drive. I am driving myself crazy wondering if I got every one of those bolts torqued under there and didn't miss any.

I'll post a pic soon, but I am tired as hell! lol

Depend how you want to wire them. If you go on the existing fog lights is just a splice job. If you do the sills you gotta wire thru the fire wall. Definitely dyi stuff

I don't have any fog lights so I'll be putting in new wiring. I'll be mounting them on the windshield but I have heard that getting wires throw the cowl is pretty tough. It's all new to me but just any pointers Mike?

Here is a wiring diagram of how I did my fogs and a writeup of how I did my rock lights. The concept is the same as fogs.

Sounds simple enough. I got some KC slim lites 130W long range lights. It should come with the harness you speak of right?
