DFW area clubs

What clubs are in the DFW area that are for Jeeps? How often and where are the meetings? How often do they get together to go off roading? What are the requirements to join? I am trying to see what is out there and make some new friends. If there is one in Johnson County I would be real interested.

Lone Star Jeep Club , TexasJK , DFW Crawlers are the 3 off the top of my head. You will have to google them to find out more information.

LSJC meets 2nd thursday of the month at a Jeep dealership in Grapevine, but is always having club organized runs at Bridgeport , BMRA, K2 and a bunch of others. The only reason I stepped away is because they got too political for me.

They generally are. I'd give them a shot. They have a lot of "new guy" runs where you can meet and greet and they'll take you onto the basic trails or groups will take experienced drivers to the more difficult trails. Family friendly too if that matters.

I just got tired of all the bickering on their forum. I plan on going back though.

Come on back, the BS is over. I didn't re-join till it was over. We are going to the Gas Monkey Bar and Grill on Oct 1st at 6pm, more than 50 Jeeps will be there.
