Yep, that's what he told me last night. I know DJ was worried about the Trail Police and rightfully so!

You had at least 1 foot of Air regarding your front tires, but this shot really does not do justice to the real thing!

That was the craziest thing I'd seen in a while. And Freakin cool!!!! You got some serious air on that. Let me know if you post the vid on facebook. I'll get my wife to look it up.

We got lost and then stuck on a red/black part in the back corner. JD's Jeep wouldn't start for a little while. We finally got it going and we backtracked out. It was some technical stuff, but fun. We had an awesome time and I can't wait to get back out there. I need to grab some skid plates and start the modding.

You guys have some badass rigs. I like Dana's a lot. I'm thinking I should have bought an Ultimate myself!

Thanks guys for showing us the ropes out there.

Had a great time...lesson for us newbies. Don't park in an articulate fashion and shut off the motor for awhile to walk the upcoming trail. Lol!

Hey "Big Mike",

I'm going to be very nice on this go around, but this time only!

"Never and I mean Never" leave your point man and your wing man at the same time. "What is wrong with you two new rookies? You got what you run up upon by doing so!

I just needed to get some food. I can't afford to miss any lunch breaks if you didn't notice my small size. Nuff Said!

"I do not need a coulple of newb's getting Hurt on My Watch" Big Boy!

JD,

"You Lost Us? You Guys Drove Away"!

I'm glad you came, but you need to know, you must stay with the point man, or wing man at all times! How do you think Tom, or myself would feel if you got hurt?

Hell, as good as you were doing today you could have been on point at any time!

Marty, it's all good, we had just eaten some snacks right before. We were just going to fool around a bit then hook back up with you guys. Just ended up taking longer to get back. LOL I told my boy to start making a lean-to. That little dip was going to be our new home. haha Y'all should have hung around for a while after lunch. We got our bearings straight and hit a few more blue/greens. I'll go back out in a few weeks. I think the 17th everyone is going again, right?

Hey guys, I had a great time. I got to meet some great guys..

Tom, "hey there some mud over there we can drive through"

Marty, "I'm not quite sure which way to go, you chose"

JD, "I am running a little rough here"

Mike, "Ok, lets just go, oops, the kids have to take a quick break"

And Mikes kids ( his and his buddys) Are you having a good time? "YEAH!!!"

I really liked everyone's ride.. You gotta love Tom and Marty's new rigs..
Plus black is my favorite color
Mike's great deal for a solid TJ.. wish I would have found something like that when I was looking
JD's just plain basic Jeep, 4 cyl, half doors,, its what Jeeping is all about.

Me, I had a great time for my first time out.. I didnt break anything and didnt get stuck. The transfer case shifting from 4H to 4L was very sticky but I am hoping it loosens up, since my LJ was a mall crawler before for years. I really need to get some disco's to make full use of my suspension.
Also, who knew that bunny slopes were that tough? geesh, that one hill seemed pretty tough and then 50 takes us back around for a second go at it. Of course my day was topped off with Toms jump.. all I can say is
W O W!!! Its gonna be a while before I can do something like that..
Sorry I had to leave early, but I got home, washed the Jeep; mowed, edges and ran the blower on the yard.
Somehow my desire to keep a clean Jeep and going offroad is going to try my patience.. just saying.. I will have to finish it up today.
I want to go back out on the 17th, I hope some others will want to go as well.
Oh, I have the TrailJammer EXT option on my LJ, I did find the throttle a bit too touchy and will likely have to bring it down a notch to stock tuning to make it easier to do mild touches to the throttle.

Yep, my son Jack is not easily impressed, by anything other than a TV, but he had a blast out there. I am really surprised by Jeeps. I never would have thought these things would go over and up some of that stuff with such ease. I never felt uneasy or uncomfortable in anything we did yesterday.

Mike and DJ, not sure you are interested, but I am about to throw my stock fender flares into the recycle bin. They are in pretty good shape, just a nice shade of grey. If you are interested in them (the price is right, free) let me know and I will bring them on the 17th. I am not real interested in keeping them around for long though..

Dana, how do they differ from the ones I have? It was a job getting the mud out of mine. Also, I haven't seen anywhere that has a rocker cover like you have... Where can I get one of those?

Firstly I loved everyone's rigs. The jump, I have no IDE what came I've me because that was very uncharacteristic of me to do something so stupid. As far as the group splitting, it's not to bad because at least no one was alone. I can't say anything other than that. I hear an earful from the guys when I go out by myself. I had fun and can't wait to hit again.

I think the flares are the same.. just not sure because mine is an LJ.. the rears might be different.. but they are all there, including the turn lamps, well, without the bulbs and wiring, I needed the wiring for the new flares.

Are you wanting to know about the rocker covers or the nerf bars? they are two separate units. The nerfs are by nFab. I believe the 4WD place had the best price for them when I was looking.
Manufacturers of high quality Nerf Steps, Prerunners, Harley Bars, Light Bars, Replacement Front Bumpers, Rock Rails, Rear Runners, Tire Carriers & Truck Accessories

the rocker covers/protection are by Rockhard 4x4
Rock Hard LJ Unlimited Rocker Sliders Powder Coated Black w/o Side Tubing
The link pic shoes them with the additional tubing, but the description is correct in that these were tube free..
I got both of them at 4WD.. I got them to do a pricematch to 4x4groupbuy for the powdercoated and saved $30. This was the least expensive rocker cover I could find, but I also wanted the bolt heads to be flush with the rocker. Oh, and I didnt want diamondplate either
Everything else I could find was at least $100 more and not any better looking than what I got, IMHO.

The guys at 4WD installed them both and got them both to fit with all the bolts, etc.. I did the rocker covers more for aesthetics than functionality, but I now have double protection..
Mike, let me know if this answered your question.
Dana
