Tom, you have a gorgeous rig, plus you have made all the right mods, functional and aesthetic.. However, I loved the jump, takes large cohones to do that, although I would like to see it done again, just go a bit faster next time and I think you will land on all 4 wheels at the same time..

Big Mike,

It's all good and I do plan on getting out on the 17th as well. I think I will air down the next time, because the ride was a little rough. I look forward to seeing you back on the trail again!

Mike, "Ok, lets just go, oops, the kids have to take a quick break"

And Mikes kids ( his and his buddys) Are you having a good time? "YEAH!!!"

I really liked everyone's ride.. You gotta love Tom and Marty's new rigs..
Plus black is my favorite color
Mike's great deal for a solid TJ.. wish I would have found something like that when I was looking
JD's just plain basic Jeep, 4 cyl, half doors,, its what Jeeping is all about.

Me, I had a great time for my first time out.. I didnt break anything and didnt get stuck. The transfer case shifting from 4H to 4L was very sticky but I am hoping it loosens up, since my LJ was a mall crawler before for years. I really need to get some disco's to make full use of my suspension.
Also, who knew that bunny slopes were that tough? geesh, that one hill seemed pretty tough and then 50 takes us back around for a second go at it. Of course my day was topped off with Toms jump.. all I can say is
W O W!!! Its gonna be a while before I can do something like that..
Sorry I had to leave early, but I got home, washed the Jeep; mowed, edges and ran the blower on the yard.
Somehow my desire to keep a clean Jeep and going offroad is going to try my patience.. just saying.. I will have to finish it up today.
I want to go back out on the 17th, I hope some others will want to go as well.
Oh, I have the TrailJammer EXT option on my LJ, I did find the throttle a bit too touchy and will likely have to bring it down a notch to stock tuning to make it easier to do mild touches to the throttle.

Dana
Hey Dana,

If you can figure out how to make my throttle touchy I want to know how, because mine feels like a dog out there! I need more power when I punch it. I dumped the clutch @ least 5 times...

I think JD's 4 banger will out pull all of us in the long haul. I'm not upset with the new V6, but it's not my old straght 6 for a fact. Too many electronics for me on this new rig.

As far as taking us back up the "Fun" hill, I just knew that was the way back to the pavillion. Tom and I looked at the map and I went and got my compass to check it out and sure enough we should have went North, but Big Mike and Tom wanted to go South, so that's what I did. A simple 360 got us back on track!

Thanks for wheeling with us,

50;"

Hey Dana,

Not interested in your fenders, but regarding our conversation about the belly pan I most certainly want that if your just going to the recycle bin with it?

JD,

It did sound "Torquee" from behind and it would climb a brick wall for sure. Hope you got that bad fuel out and cleaned out your throttle body as well, Or you will burn up you clutch next go around!

Looking forward to you being on "Point" next trip!

Thanks Dana. Not sure if they would fit. Or if they covered much more than what mine do. Very nice of you to offer though.

Lol not point..I followed Mike around all day. Bought some seafoam. And new 91 gas. Been running fine now.
Still gotta get my throttle body cleaned. Does a spacer do much on this 4cyl?

Still gotta figure out why it cuts out when you floor it.

Let off and it goes great.

Hey JD,

Yes, clean up the throttle body and get a good spacer, then you will run like the wind! The spacer will give you "Prolly" 10-15 more ponies under the hood with a good cold air intake!

Wow, it sounds like you all had fun. I don't check the forum for a few days and miss tons of action.

I am planning to go on the 17th. Also the group of guys that I wheel with from Alvarado will be there.

I know they will want to hit some of the harder trails. So lets all go and split into 2 groups one for the hard core stuff and one for the light stuff. It should make for a great meet and greet.

Also I believe a couple of our non jeep buddies are going to come up just to hang out and cook some chili while we are on the trail. Let me know if your interested in eating some and we can make sure they make enough. Maybe whoever wants some can bring a couple of bucks to help offset their costs.

I don't think I'll be doing it again. Scared the crap out of me the first time and it had the potential to go bad very quickly. As I said, something like that is very out of character for me.

Tolar I hear is good, but it will be a long time before it is even close to being compared to Bridgeport because they are still cutting trails.

I am betting you have skid protection. And since yours is a JK, it likely won't fit. But it's all yours!

I have been to Tolar. They have lots of trails but nothing compared to the variety at Bridgeport. At Tolar it is either smooth dirt trails or crazy big rocks. It will probably become very cool as they cut more trails and the trails they have wear in some.

I talked to my guys. They are definately in for cooking enough chili for everyone. If you are going to bridgeport on the 17th and want to eat some chili let me know so we can make sure to have enough.

I am looking forward to seeing you all again.

Hey D,

If it won't fit, I'm good with stock and one of the other Boys might need it more.

Thank you kind Sir,
