That's an awesome price on that trailer. Did the axle it came with fit jeep wheels, if not have you found an axle that will or are you gettin adapters made? I've been eyeing a trailer. May have a lead on a good one. I'll let y'all know if it works out.

Yeah, I have been looking for a while, but if done right it's well worth 3K. The ones I really was digging on was the ones with the pop up camper on top and totally rigged out with some cool camping gear.

Oh well there is always my final payment on my rig, then I can afford something like that. I was digging a Coleman Fleetwood that one member showed off and I feel that was the Bomb, but she said they got it for under 6K and I can't find one anywhere.

PS: Post pic's please?

The axle fits the CJ wheels, but I have a TJ. My plan has been to buy a new axle with electric brakes, but I've made a very lowball offer on some used wheel adapters. If he takes the offer(which I doubt he will), I'll go that route as a tide me over. I really want brakes because with the 33s, the jeep is already harder to stop than I'd like. Can't imagine what it would be like towing a loaded down trailer.

After re-reading you post, I'm not sure what you are saying exactly. You might have a lead on a good one what? Axle?

The goal is to eventually make it into a decked out camping trailer. Not sure I'll ever do the Roof Top Tent though. The tent alone is about a grand and the ones I've seen look to small for a family of 4. If it were still just me and the wife, I'd definitely be going that route. For the time being, I'll be hauling a larger family tent.

I did get word today that the frame and suspension parts will arrive from the powder coater tomorrow. The tub will be going to the sandblaster tomorrow as well. So, progress is being had and that makes me smile

A good trailer is what I may have found...

Relatively cheap axles can be found through Dexter. I believe there's a distributor in Irving and I have read other posts of people custom ordering them with electric brakes for something like $200

Post pics when you get started putting it together...sounds like a lot of fun.

Ah gotcha. Hope your deal works out.

I'll check out Dexter. Cheapest I've found so far is just shy of $300 with brakes.

I'll probably start a build thread once I get far enough along. As of right now, all I have are pics of the trailer in pieces. Nothing to exciting.

Yeah, you could get way too much $ wasted with the tent thing regarding your spec's. I just thought the ones I saw were very nice, but way too much on my simple budget. Heck that lady with the Fleetwood by Coleman used but in A+ condition was only around $5400.00. It even had a head, shower and AC... And of course all of the stuff pop up campers have.

I've been wanting to go up to Bridgeport. Are there any good trails there for stock JK's?

There's a few in the area; I gravitate towards TexasJK (they meet first Wed of every month in Grapevine), but there's also Lone Star Jeep Club (I think they meet in the Lewisville area, but I'm not positive) and I think some members here put together DFW Crawlers.

Yes we are putting together. DFW Crawlers. But woks been crazy and so has the weather.

We are based out of the Weatherford area. All are welcome, website is in the works

And so are some windshield banners as well as side stickers.

We have a post on here.

Welcome any and all.

I think I need at least another week before I test the new gears out there.. otherwise, would probably come out for a couple of hours of Jeep play.
