Lewisville area here...still a rookie, can't decide on my first mod :-/ got jeep envy tonight when I was coming out to the parking lot after bowling and saw 2 other lifted JK's parked next to mine...I think I'll post a sign "WILL WORK FOR MODS!!"
There are trails out there at about every level of difficulty. Rock Trails of Tolar has 800 acres of land so it will be fun for everyone from stock to highly modified.
Many of the trails are short loops off the main trail so even if someone in the group wants to try something really difficult those who don't want to push it still have a chance to watch and help spot without getting left behind.
I would like to join y'all on saturday. What time are you planning on going? Are you going to meet up at the Shack? I know once you get driving it's hard to find anyone there.
We are planing to arrive early rolling through the gate around 8:30. We will be airing down and unloading trailers until about nine I'm guessing.
There is a group meeting near Alvarado (south of Fort Worth) to caravan out there, of you are interested in meeting us there we are departing from 7900 E FM 917, Alvarado, TX 79006. (that's a church parking lot)
If I know you are coming for sure and that time works we will wait near the gate house for you.
If that is too early for you, or it you just want to make sure we all meet up PM me and I will give you my cell phone number.
We had to move the time back just a little for one of the guys going.
We are meeting in the church parking lot at 7900 E FM 917 (that is right in that steep corner on 917) at 8:00 am. It is 1 hour and 12 minutes from there to Rock Trails.

I think we all. Need to post that sign. But that is part of what makes Jeep great. There is always something cool you can do. Admittedly some cheaper than others.
Do other Jeeps wave outside of Plano/Frisco? I realize the JKU is popular with a**holes around here, but finding 1 in 5 seem to wave back.
Figured I would subscribe to this thread. Just got my JKU a little over a month ago and looking to do some trailrides etc as I get more comfortable with it (read: new car smell goes away).
I live in Plano also, and yes Jeeps in other towns wave. I just moved from Bedford. Are there any place to go wheeling near Plano other than Bridgeport and the other place east of here?
However, I was driving around up near Wylie/Sachse/Murphy at the end of last week and saw a ton of Jeeps. The best part, almost all of them waved, and often before I did.
