Let's get a good local thread going. Make it easier for M&G's and stuff.unk:unk:unk:unk:
I'm running stock tires at the moment. Went mudding yesterday and did pretty good.mgagerjr said:I would love to go but my problem is I have street tires on it now. And by street tires I mean basically car tires. I think I would actually get stuck in the grass. I am hoping to get AT tires soon but gotta wait for the fundage. I am quickly learning this is gonna be an expensive past time.
It's a Jeep. Sure tires make a difference but you could run racing slicks and still go better than most vehicles on the market. You will have fun no matter what you do. It is better to learn as you go than to build to big at first and not have the skill to match your ride.mgagerjr said:I would love to go but my problem is I have street tires on it now. Frisco JKU... My wife's DD. We waved at every Jeep we saw for the longest time and have finally decided folks around here simply don't do it/get it.Tonka_Jeep said:Plano Checking in!
Do other Jeeps wave outside of Plano/Frisco? I realize the JKU is popular with a**holes around here, but finding 1 in 5 seem to wave back.
Figured I would subscribe to this thread. Just got my JKU a little over a month ago and looking to do some trailrides etc as I get more comfortable with it (read: new car smell goes away).
Hit me up.Batlees said:Wylie, Tx. here.. Was living in Ohio for work, good to be home.. I currently have some off time and wouldn't mind some group activity to meet some new folks.

Welcome.dmarkham said:Alvarado here! New to having a Jeep and no mods done yet on the 06 Golden Eagle.
Welcome.
Your right in my neck of the woods. The guys that I wheel with are all Alvarado based. We have been entertaining the idea of starting a local club since the Johnson County Jeep Club disbanded some time ago. I'll let you know next time we get together.
No. Just tooled around town. It's a bit early to ve able to commit for the 22nd, but would love to go.Sdavidf said:Hate to her about the closures on Monday. Thats a bummer did you get to go anywhere?
If you still want to try those tires out I have a group of guys planning a trip to Bridgeport September 22. Let me know if you want to join us.
I will post more information as the date approaches. Would love to have you if your available.mgagerjr said:No. Just tooled around town. It's a bit early to ve able to commit for the 22nd, but would love to go.

By the way, all are invited. Bridgeport OHV Park September 22. There will be plenty to do for everyone from beginner to experienced wheeler.
What time are y'all meeting out there? Bridgeport is about an hour and a half from me and I'm on vacation that week.kramnation said:South Arlington here too, Silo/Sublett area. I plan on going to Bridgeport on the 22nd. Let me know if you're going and we can convoy on over to Alvarado to meet up with the others.
I'm in if it's not raining. Still got the bikini top on. Hopefully I will get my Trek Top NX before then?Northwest OHV Park, Bridgeport TX. September 22, 2012
We have a group going to Bridgeport on the 22 of September.
Those leaving from the south west side of the metroplex can meet at 7:00 AM at 7900 E FM 917, Alvarado, TX 76009. (it is a church parking lot). We will convoy to Bridgeport from there.
The plan is to arrive at Northwest OHV Park between 8:00-8:30 am. We will wheel through the morning and eat lunch at the pavilion. Then head out for more wheeling. Pack whatever you want for lunch and drinks.
All are invited to join us. You may respond here on the forum and we will wait near the gate house for you. If you want to come a little later send me a PM and I will give you my cell phone number so you can meet up with us when you get there.
It will be a great time for all. Bridgeport has trails for beginners and experienced wheelers alike. We will probably hit a mixture of them all but you won't be left out. At least one of our group is a first timer with a stock Jeep. Most of the trails are short enough or have bypasses so that you will be able to stay with the group and will not have to hit anything you are uncomfortable with.
Hope to see you all there.
First timer out there. Jeep is stock until April. I'm coming from the west and probably won't be there until 9. As long as someone has a winch to save my ass, I'm game for some stuff that's beginner to what ever the limits are for my stock jeep :thumb:Sdavidf said:Northwest OHV Park, Bridgeport TX.
