Let's get a good local thread going. Make it easier for M&G's and stuff.unk:unk:unk:unk:

Welcome sublime I was bummed I missed the Bridgeport run..hope we can get another one going soon..Sublime1983 said:Just found the thread, Carrollton here. Saw the Bridgeport pics looks like you guys had a blast.
I'll probably be needing one of these lolTomStev said:Hey Steve the director of the Texas OHV program sent me two decals if anyone needs one

I use this for the mud before taking to the wash to let the pros detail it50 Something said:Hey Matt,
Well I'm an old mudder from way, way back, so when I got the chance I went for it. Rocks on the other hand are very new to me and I'm not set up for it.
Cleaning a little mud is a minor issue, but rolling a Jeep, tearing up the underside of my Jeep because of Big Rocks is another matter. However mud and sand gets into your drive train and that is a big issue. Both cost a lot of cash, so I'll see which way I will go soon enough.
I'm leaning towards Baja, which is a whole different Animal there! I love motor sports and speed is my deal. I hit that mud hole at a fairly high rate of speed in 4 Low in 5 gear. No muss, no fuss!

It's a generational thing50 Something said:I'll call you, because as much as this is going to hurt (since everyone will roast me), but I can't text. Never took the time to learn, or never cared to do so.
I can't see the point. It's crazy. Last time I went to visit my Son (29 now), we all were sitting in the same room and everyone was texting someone else. What's the point in being together? And if I'm not around the person I would like to converse, with I just call them...

Yeah my flares need attention ASAP. I have krylon fusion just waiting for some time to do it.TXJK2009 said:My favorite is using the PlastiDip. Only $6 an can at either Home Depot or Lowe's. I did my front grill and the hing covers. My jeep is orange so it stands out more. It'll definately spruce up your fenders though!
I'll take that. I am often accused of talking people into buying a jeep. Tell him he better get it in time for the next trip.Daywork said:The guys that rode with me (Eric) is now looking for a Jeep to buy He had such a good time he wants his own Jeep.
I'm going to tell his wife David was talking him into buying one
I think you mean 10/06/2012 not 11-6?...:rofl:Well I'm thinking about going back to Bridgeport on Saturday 11-6. Going to try to bring the wife out there. Just do some easy trails. Don't want to scare her with the rocks lol Just make it a half day trip.
I'm going to have to pass. All my new lift, quick disconnects, bumper and other goodies should be coming in Thursday so my weekend will be figuring out how to install this stuff. Good thing I'll be off Friday -sun50 Something said:I'm In, as long as it's 10/6/2012... LOL

Which Dallas store? I have a bud that wrenches on Jeeps and is reasonable. Not sure how busy he is these days though50 Something said:4 Wheel Parts in Dallas can "Kiss My A$$!!!
Nice guys, but don't know their A$$ from a Hole in the Ground when it comes to business!
Sorry but you just hit a nerve ending regarding 4 Wheel Parts. They over billed my credit card $252.44 and it took many calls and visits in person with the store manager, but he kept putting it off on the sales guy. After 65 Days I got a credit on my card -$41.99 short.
I called up and told them I'll never do business with them and they can take that $41.99 and stick it up their A$$!!!
I only do business with Quadratec now. Sort of sucks because if I need help with my installs they are the only game in town besides "Mike's Off Road" and they are so booked it takes forever to "Get R Done"!
Thinking about getting my wrenchs back out and contacting Quadratec about starting up a full service store in the DFW area? It's been a few years since I turned a wrench, but I loved it!
OK, I'm done now, but I still have a hard on for these guys and might even take it to court!!!
Just my 2 cents!!!

They only have Dallas, Plano, Coppell and FTW. It's the Dallas location on I-35 and Inspiration.Which Dallas store? I have a bud that wrenches on Jeeps and is reasonable. Not sure how busy he is these days though
I might later on. For now I would just use it to air up my tires. I also like that it's mounted under the hood.50 Something said:Are you looking at getting Lockers?

Jeep jamborees are awesome. And it would be a great way to get your feet wet. I highly recommend them. They offer excellent trail guides and you always meet good people. It is also a great way to get your family involved because they have a good family atmosphere.texas05 said:Anyone looking at going to the Hot Springs Jeep Jamboree event on 10/25-10/27? Has anyone been on one, can you recommend? I thought it might be a good first experience with the new Jeep since I have never been wheeling.
There are other, better places; have you ever checked into Baertrax or Screaming Lizard?50 Something said:I only do business with Quadratec now. I must have missed something. The air at Bridgeport is free.kramnation said:Sorry, been traveling all week and couldn't find the link. Had it booked marked at home, so here you go. 4 tire inflator. Now this isn't the compressor, it's just the air lines.
On the compressor I'm leaning toward this one. It is a permanent mount. ARB
