DFE6ER sorry to hear you can't make this one. I'll keep an eye out for your black Rubicon as well!

I'll make the next one. I do most of my driving around 3040&2499.....if you ever see a black rubicon at the CAC with body color matching top/fenders, it's mine

As far as I'm concerned, it's an open meet and anyone is welcome. I'll be getting there around 3 pm or so. I might wait outside a bit if I'm the first there, otherwise I'll be inside at the bar.

IM me as I'm in for sure. How about the Hump's off Hwy 360 in Arlington. It's more centrally located?

Can just meet in the bar, it's huge with plenty of tables/booths, depending on how many people come out.
I'm in. I'll be there at 2:00pm for sure.

Can anyone tell this is in Dallas:

This is in the Marble Falls area. About 4 hours from DFW. They have class I - VI rated trails there. You can also camp out, rent a Cabin (Trailer) and even shoot at the attached gun range. I think this would be the "Bomb"...

Hidden Falls Adventure Park - Marble Falls, Texas

Probably has more to do with the 40 or so years I lived there...I was born and raised in Irving, not too far from there.

Nimitz, class of 77, all but 12 of my 52 years were in and around Dallas/Irving.

No guarantees at this point, but maybe Saturday morning, depending on when I make it to the area. I've got night classes in OKC, so I won't leave there until early Sat morning.

Would that work?

I guess it would, but Lindell, we already know each other.

Yup, but a beer is a beer!

I don't have any objections to the meet being in Arlington, anyone else?

BTW, drag Charlie along with you...

True enough.

We'll see if we get anymore takers. If not, I might be down on vacation in October.

What's Up? Do you have warrants out for you in Dallas County?

I live in NRH and would rather do Arlington, but if it's better for the group it's only an extra 15 minute jog to the Dallas location.

I work in Dallas. The last thing I want to do is drive out there on my day off.

From Mansfield, it's more than an extra 15 minutes.

I initially chose the Dallas (it's more Irving, really, off of NW Hwy and Loop 12) location since it was Lindel and I, but since I can't make this get together after all (will be in San Antonio), any location is good, I'm sure. If you do choose the Arlington one, make sure there isn't a Rangers game that night; they provide parking/shuttle service to the game, and the bar gets super packed on game nights.

Hoping we can do this again/monthly/whatever ... will be fun to get our Jeeps together!

I can't make any guarantees yet, but the wife and I are going to try and come down in Oct. If things don't work out that might be an alternative.

Yep, we'll play it by ear. Hubs has another deployment this Fall, so everything between now and when he goes is literally day-to-day ... normal MO for Army life.

Well I can understand that since I have worked in Dallas the last 18 years, but it is only 15 minutes from the Arlington to Dallas location.

I guess it's just me and you since the girl that stated the place, time and date will be a know show?

Arlington is better for me anyway, but whatever anyone else wants to do just let me know.

Thank you,

Marty

Unless we come up with another spot, I'll be at the Humperdinks off of NW Hwy at 3ish.

HBgirl has a good reason for cancelling, no issues there.

I'll be at whatever spot is decided on, no worries there.

Ok, now this is a good spot to meet! 5 blocks from my house. Kick a$$!

Napoli's Sports Bar and Grill - North Richland Hills, TX

Is that simple enough?
