I don't have first hand experience but from what I understand it is fairly simple depending on your front bumper, I've seen tow bars that can use your front D-ring holes. You can either get an adapter wired into your electrical system that will use the jeeps lights as trailer lights or use those magnetic ones available at camping stores. That and a tow bar and your done. From there you just have to put the transfer case in neutral, the transmission in gear unlock the steering wheel and go. (The transmission in gear is important. Check owners manual)

Jeep outfitters in Burleson does a lot of tow bars thanks to the RV park nearby.

I would also imagine any big RV store would know what to do since jeeps are so popular as tow behind vehicles.

THanks, I am hoping that someone could meet me at Harbor Freight and let me get a cheap setup, in hopes I wouldnt have to use it.. I am ok with the magnetic lights on the back, as I hope to not have to use it, but with the upcoming trip to Hidden Falls, and then maybe to Colorado, I think a decent setup would be wise. I may just have to reach out to a trailer place as you have mentioned.

In that case here is what I would try, but I can't promise they are compatible. But take a look at it, to me it looks like they will work perfectly.

D-Ring adapters $69. Probably have them at 4wheel parts too
http://www.quadratec.com/products/92012_150X_PG.htm

$69 harbor freight tow bar.

Hope that helps.

Since we're posting Facebook pages, this is mine. I usually have various "mod-parties" and reminders of different local Jeep get-togethers or events that come my way.

Been sitting here listening to the rain and now I really would like to go to bridge port Saturday. It should be horridly muddy so it should be a blast. Anyone up for it? I'll winch you out

Well, I am trying to finalize plans for Hidden Falls. If I can go down there on the 18th then I'm out this weekend, if not I'll come get sloppy with you.

Why not? Bridgeport's about 45 min from you, maybe an hour. There's going to be so much mud I might actually get to use my winch for once

Rocks are much more fun to me! I'll take a pile of big boulders over a mudhole any day.

To each is own. Personally I'm staying away from boulders for now. My jeep is only 6 months old. Some how I've managed to keep the battle damage away from the body.

Been on them for 3 years and just received my first tub hit last weekend. But I was definitely pushing the limits of a locked JK on 37s!
