make up the flyers and send them to us a pdf or something so i can print them out and hang them at work. we got 7k people where i work and i see around 9 or 10 wranglers daily and know some will want to go. is that at marker 47 or something? i have no gps and moving here when i was in high school, the local way of knowing where to go is to say the mile marker its nearest. thats how you find out where the parties are at.

don;t forget to pm everyone once in a while to remind us or i will forget

If you type in the lat and long on google maps or a smart phone with maps on it it will pull up the location .

Bad news guys!! The bowl is against the law for driving and of a park ranger or state trooper comes along, we will all be fined. We can meet on the beach right there but no driving in the dunes. It is a huge fine for driving in the dunes but we can trek up and down the beach.

Has anyone considered meeting on the national park and having it over there? There is a huge open parking lot and a cool spot on the Laguna side of the island that is right on the water and there are lots of trails. Only downside is you have to pay to get in the park

Yea they'll give you a fine if they catch you so just drive through the dunes. And it's always a city cop in a 4 door truck or explorer no state troopers go through. Atleast all the times I've been there or gotten stuck.

Ok, so 11 or 12. Everyone just heading out there and meeting in the parkinglot at the national seashore. Someone should bring a decent camera to get a group pic so if a bnch of people show up, we can commemorate it on film (well, on disk)

Doesn't matter to me where we meet but we really should put out a definite location and then we can drive down the beach to the original meeting gps location !

I do no care on the location. I would be happy with the Wal Mart parking lot if i could park on a Honda Civic and not have to pay anything.
If i could get a latitude and longitude or an address on the legal location that would be awesome.

You'll only get a ticket if you go into the Dunes & get caught, plenty of room to park between them and the water. And for those coming from out of town, don't think it would be much excitement seeing a parking lot. So bring your chairs, your ice chest, family & friends & don't forget the suntan lotion!

I've been down the National Seashore many times. It's a great run just getting through Little Shell and Big Shell. It's a long way down the beach if you want to go to the land cut (about 60 miles) but it's a great 4X4 trip too. There are no gas stations so bring extra gas and water and just about every tool you own. I may try to make it too. I love going anywhere where there is a huge sign that says "4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES ONLY BEYOND THIS POINT".
Also the annual pass for the National Seashore is not much more than the week pass. If you plan on making more than one trip a year...it's worth it.

Agreed. I make that trip a couple time a year and buy the annual pass. Most of the time the drive Dr own to the land cut is pleasant, but a few times I had wished I went in a caravan as it is an isolated area if you Do get stuck. PINS is a nice place to go and put your 4wheel drive to it's paces. I'm looking foward to my next trip out there.....

Im so excited! I remember riding big shell and little shell when I was a kid with my dad. We would camp every year and ride the 4x4 only section and always had to pull crazy tourists out with his 4x4 of the year. Lol. That was so much fun! Cant wait to take my boys!
