Hey West Texas

Hey, I'm a newbie from Midland Texas. I just bought a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a 4" lift on it. I REALLY wanna go put it through it's paces
hit some trails or climb some hills or whatever.
San Angelo is sounding pretty fun. Anyone have directions & a little info on where in San Angelo to go?? Or Anywhere around here? I was thinking about that place in Stanton, but I think it's just motorcycle trails. I really don't wanna take it through a bunch of Mesquite bushes & scratch the crap out of it just yet...haha

I used to have an '89 wrangler and last summer I had a '78 CJ5 but traded it to a friend.
Here's the new Jeep I'm lovin' it.

Someone else lives in Midland!?!?

Welcome from another Midlander! I haven't come across any places around here to go yet. I've *heard* of some people running the sand dunes in Monahans but sand doesn't interest me so I've never checked it out. We make runs to Llano and Palo Duro for the Jeep Jamborees as that's about the closest thing to actual "rock crawling" we can find that doesn't take two days to drive to.

EDIT: Damn nice JK too!

I use to take my '89 wrangler out to the Kermit Sand dunes & it was a blast!! Regular street tires and no lift, just let a bunch of air outta my tires & took off.
I would'nt mind someone takin' a look underneath my new one & makin' some suggestions to make sure everythings beefy enough to go out on some rocks & not
tear it up.

I own every skid plate ever made and I've smacked them around a few times too. If you need some help let me know.
