Hidden Falls July 20-22

Who's going and are you ready for some fun?

Made a thread of the 20th to get some more people out. Also to organize information on who is going and when they think they might be showing up.

As of now the weather is looking at about a High of 95 and low of 70 for the weekend. With a slim chance of rain.

I plan on showing up Friday between 5 and 6 and leaving Sunday. I will be camping at primitive B site.

I would like to go, but am pretty much a newb. Will anyone else be there that is not into the really wild stuff? I do not want to wheel alone just in case.

some Hidden FAlls advice......We go just about every month and the trail ratings are NOT usually accurate. some listed as 4's are really like 2's and some 3's are more like 5's
Bull Run listed as a 3 just had a yota roll off it last w/e
Bronco buster listed as a 3 is way more than that

JUst take your time and dont be afraid to use the bypass' or turn around.

Just got back. And they are not correct. According to Ranger Jeff, the guy that rates and mods trails is supposed to be out this week or next. He says the trail head signs are more accurate than the maps.

When are you getting there? Are you coming with the rest of the SA group? We will just be coming for the day more than likely.

We could be tour guides of midnight run, wet and wild, royal gorge, and some others. Of course they only get to watch.

Me and tams-tj with her hubby. We should be at the front gate around 3:22. Jon should be in around 6:15. Shot me a text and i will let you know when we get into marble falls. 315 868 6437.

We also need to swing to wal mart, that should only take about 20 min.

I wanna play!
My hubby is not interested in going, but I would really like to break-in my new toy ... gently, that is. I've never done anything more than "moderate blue" runs before, and I've never been to HF. But I would love to go and meet some neighborhood Texas Jeepers! Is it realistic to think I could go just for a couple of hours on Saturday and still be home by 5:30 for a birthday dinner?

JKOrange, I do believe you are in the Georgetown area, correect. It takes just under an hour to get there and they open at 8:00 Saturday morning. Plenty of time to get "broken in" Let me know if you want to go together as I think we will be leaving early to get some wheelin in before it gets to hot.
