Hidden Falls - September 15th

For anyone interested, heading to Hidden falls this weekend. Myself and another haven't been and want to see what it's about. My JKU is stock, so I'm guessing just trails 1 and 2 for me, lol. Was thinking of rolling out at 8am roughly. Anyone interested in a convoy, we can meet under the1604/IH-10 area in the park and ride by 830. Let me know. I'm new to Jeeps, but not to mud, looking for other wheelers, family friendly, to hang with.

Sounds good. I'm looking forward to it. Although my jeep is stock, I'm looking to get a feel of the place. Should have my lift and tires soon, just trying to get though this accident claim. Loving the jeep.

Arkos, would this count as attending one of your group's outing as far as membership go? Also, do you need to attend a meeting before you attend an outing? Thanks.

That is the reason my friend and I are attending in our jeeps. We know that was one of the group requirements, I couldn't attend the meeting last week.

When I was on their site, it said an event and a meeting, didn't recall stating an order.

Sweet. Looking forward to checking this place out. I can't go hardcore with my stocker obviously, but also recovering from an injury. Looking for some fun in the sun with the family.

Not sure about the sun, but it's going to be fun no doubt. I'll be pulling in around 8:30.

Hey doesn't really matter much what order you do it in. Just show up to the event and you'll have a great time. Hope to see you there.

Buddy and I got there at 930am Saturday morning. Wheeled until almost 3pm.....sorry, but those trail maps were near impossible along with the lack of signage, lol. I thought we were at a level 2, when I finished going up, or down, I then passed a sign stating level 4, lol....had I known, I wouldn't have attempted in my stock ride....but 4-lo was amazing with stock rubber, forgot how much of a goat a jeep was. Ran into the Austin group as one of their guys was attempting a level 4 and busted his front shaft. One of them walked over to us asking if there was a route the guy could limp out on and I pointed him the right direction. But, when I asked if they were from the Austin group and he said yeah, I told him "great," we were coming out to meet y'all......he just walked away and they continued up the trail....so, we just went on our own. I introduced myself, but he didn't respond, was kinda surprised. But, we still had a blast.

I've wheeled with gtt1 before, he is a great guy, not realy apart of the Austin jeeps exclusive club! Check out the vid he posted on a early hidden falls thread. He wheels the hell out of his Golden Eagle.

We went out Sunday and ran into ROK1 on the trails. Man that is a sweet rig!
Had a good time and even conquered Snoopy Falls...on accident.
No damage other than pride and paint.

Sunday in the pouring rain turned Hidden Falls into a completely different park. I was surprised how much traction there was on the rocks. The mud was a different story... only had to winch out twice. The first time was about ten minutes into the trails, which is where I ran into gttt1. Nice guy...we need to meet up again.
