It's probably going to be freezing anyways. I'm so sick of this cold weather. I live in the South Texas for a reason. I should be able to pull the top off, throw my shorts on a go whenever I want.

Well if you change your mind about cold, there are only 3 jeeps in my group and 8 of the Houston Landcruiser club going. I would like a few more jeeps to help or hang out.

jt1998, what are you looking to get done? I'm fairly new to the area, but work on my '99 TJ myself for the most part. I'm in League City if you ever need a hand.

There is a dealer on 517 called Jeep power house that is big in to the Jeep world and could probably point you in the right direction JT.

After a few mods I'll be ready for General Sam's... just way to unpredictable for me this time of year. 20yrs ago, it would have been no worries. Now, screw it! I have the ability to control my environmental conditions with HVAC. I'll look at your pictures and know you had a really good time.

Maybe in April / May I might be ready for some outdoor camping an wheeling

Thanks Rjpark! Thinking of new tires/wheels for sure. Maybe a 2 inch lift. I've never worked on a car or jeep. No experience. Have a stock 04 wrangler x.

Has anyone here climbed this hill? It's near Pearland, TX. I was driving home in my wife's car and decided to take a closer look since I had seen the hill before but from a distance. As I made my way through the side streets I saw a JK pull in and start to climb the hill. Don't know if it was any of you but I'm thinking of climbing it myself. The map isn't great but you get the idea of the location. It's a good 30 to 40 foot climb to the top. I'll see if I can't snap a few pics and post them. Let me know if anyone has done it.

Let us know what you find out. I'd be interested in a spot to play around over there.

Well I went there and it was ok. Nice little trail leading to it and good angle in the back of the hill to use your 4x4.

I am in spring Texas and in looking to going to some of these Parks. I don't know what I am doing so I would like to join a group of people who would be willing to let me tag along and learn from them.

I have a 2004 stock Rubicon

If you're on facebook, look up south coast jeeps. Great group of jeepers, always planning trips/ meets in the area. Always having wrenching parties, head out for stranded jeepers at the drop of a hat. It's a good place to get started in our area.

I'm in Deer Park. Had a 2013 Sport but just traded it in on a 2014 Sport JKU on Wednesday.

General Sam's sounds like fun. I want to go there but I am afraid I will get in over my head and break something.

That's the best way to find out what you need to replace.
