It's a big sand flat with a couple dunes. We went to let the kids play a couple weeks ago and LE was watching the dunes closely and writing tickets. BE WARNED. Sometimes you can get on the dunes, sometimes they write a big ticket. If you get on the north side of the bridge, the mosquitoes will carry off a small child.

Was thinking about heading down to Galveston for 'Jeep Go Topless Day' (Saturday). And while down there hit up some sand. Heard there will be a lot of Jeeps out there for the event.

I am on there as duckquackers and live in Klein/Lake Houston depending on day of week.

Neko, anytime you want to fish I am always looking for someone to roll with me, not a lot of fishing buddies but plenty of beer friends.

Any of you guys want to be a newbies field guide out at Creekside sometime? I need to get some photos and video for an article I'm working on regarding the transition from Eurosnob to Jeep owner and want to get some great photos out on the trails. Would prefer to be out there with someone who knows the ropes though

New '13 JKU owner checking in! A little south of Houston in the Lake Jackson area. I'm down for wheeling events but have zero experience with off road.

I'm sort of in the same boat. Been off-road many times, but in press pool vehicles which I didn't really care what happened since they went back to the manufacturer after we were done testing them. Now with my own Wrangler, I need to learn how and be a little more careful!

BTW, good to see another detail junkie around. First thing I did with mine was bust out the Porter-Cable and give it a good pampering.

Yeah I'm a little more than a junkie . I run my own part time business detailing and paint correcting vehicles so its more like an obsession. I swore I'd never buy another black vehicle again but Jeeps are so bad a$$ to me in black

My neighbor is bringing his XJ out. I just picked up a 3"x30' tow strap today. Anything else I need?
