Any time works for me, I couldn't remember what time we normally meet. I got my lift installed yesterday but need to take it back they installed the track bar upside down, it's hitting the front differential. Also I'm getting some driveshaft vibes, I think I'm gonna need a transfer case lowering kit. Other than that it looks awesome.

Who installed your lift??!

I don't think I'll be able to make the meet. Going to Hidden falls today and then will be in Austin tomorrow. Probably won't make it back in time :-(

Thanks Orange Crush Girl,

All,

Unless something goes wrong, will order two 2013 Wranglers next week.
Am I forgetting anything?
Ordered at same time but two separate orders.
As a consultant, my life sometimes gets crazy.
Most busy week was starting in Boston for Fidelity Investments. Wednesday flying to LA. End of week working for Amgen Pharmaceutical.
Have spent much money on car rentals. Normally cannot get a 4WD. When I can, insurance is not normally valid if the vehicle is taken off-road. Hence, two Jeeps and think I can bring overall costs down.

Standard Black Cloth Interior

Standard soft top – new Premium Soft Top

Factory half doors instead of regular full doors

Pretty sure Sirius comes free for anywhere from 3 months to a year. The free Sirius was standard a year on mine, but I actually it like 14 months before I started to pay for my subscription.

The wife just told me there is supposed to be live music there tonight. It shouldn't effect the restaurant, according to web site Glen Collins will play at 7pm.

You might also look into a slip yoke eliminator kit to help vibes vs lowering your t case .... It will also keep your much needed ground clearance !!! IMHO

Looks like my rear pinion angle is off. According to guys on here you should not change pinion angle with a stock driveshaft, this could also be contributing to my driveshaft vibes. I'm gonna call off road concept on Monday to see what they can do.

Had fun last Saturday night. Thanks.
The sales manager at Ancida (sp) knows what I want and why.
So this morning when the 2013 Order Book opened, he ordered me two Jeeps (Gecko and Crush). Will have to see if I want to make any changes and if he has the lowest prices.
Scary and exciting.
So right now Jeep has two orders with my name on them.
Not sure, but doubt Gecko and Crush will last the entire MY.
Give me some nice tax deductions. Would rather invest in Jeeps rather than give to IRS.
Probably will not be able to make next month’s but they are fun !!!

Congrats, Jeepin Dave! LOVE the color choices.

I just wanted to throw this out there. Jeep Nation will be having a meet and greet Sat. June 23rd @ El Chaparrell in Helotes @ 6pm.

Hope you all can come out and join us. I solemnly swear, that we will not make anyone join the club. LOL!

Jeep has been playing their color cards "close to their chest."

Most thought Gecko and Crush were dead. I was searching used vehicles and dealer inventory. Dealers have reported both selling well, but Jeep stopped shipping the two.

A week or two ago, Jeep announced Gecko and Crush returning. Thought should not let them get away especially since can use them to earn and save money (while having more fun) !!!

Unknown is how long they will be offered. Many feel they will be discontinued in Jan.

It appears Jeep will not drop them without advance notice.

Gecko is first priority.

Probably better deals on Crush around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Save a little coin. So Crush will slip until then subject to any changes Jeep makes.

Suspect both will be long term keepers.

Have fun !!!

madkinstx,

Are your problems normal?

Seems they should have known about these issues.

Think they should give you some type of refund for your time and all the heartache.

They are adjusting the rear pinion angle on the jeep tomorrow via the upper control arms. This should solve the problem with my rear track bar and possibly fix the driveshaft vibes too. I don't think it's an issue with the lift kit, I think the offroad shop just hasn't figured out the fine tuning that goes along with it yet. The said its the first time they put this kit on and They set it to specks recommended by Rough Country, But I called Rough Country and they said every jeep is a little different when you lift them, and adjustment should be made accordingly. Hopefully they will get it tweaked out tomorrow.

my jeep is fixed!!!!! got it back from shop yesterday, and no more issues with the rear track bar hitting the gas tank skid. They shortened the lower control arms to solve the clearance issues and shortened the upper control arms to help with the vibes. I got it home and still had a lack of power on take offs. so I crawled under and did some more fine tuning on the upper control arms to get the proper pinon angle. bottom line the off road shop did a good job on install but when it comes to fine tuning sometimes you just need to crawl under and do it yourself, especially if you are as picky as me.
