Lift assistance

Hey i've been following for years and finally got a 2013 JK Unlimited Sport and I want to put a lift on it but don't know who or where to start. I'm in Sachse and live down the street from Collins Bro and 4wheelparts so I already know about those. Sorry if there has already been a thread started about this so let me know, thanks!

Have you purchased a lift and need help putting it on or are you looking for advice on which lift to go with?

Both! I'm thinking I want a simple 2.5" lift of some sort, not planning on doing any heavy crawling or anything.

Whats your budget? I purchased the 3.5" X factor lift ($1500) from 4wd parts and was going to put it on myself but have decided to let Rock and Roll Offroad install it. It seems as if the x factor lift has additional steps and concerns to install which is why I'm not doing it myself.

If you went with a budget boost and new shocks, its sounds like you could tackle that with a friend. I had a friend do a 4" rough country lift and it was cheap and has actually done very well over the last 2 years. Her jeep is 99.9% highway and about .1% mud.

I was thinking 2.5 budget for <$800? But don't know really. I'm probably 95%-5%?

Teraflex has 2.5" with shocks for a bit under $740.

Rock Krawler has 2.5" stock mod at $550 plus 250 for rancho shocks (after $100 rebate)

AEV has 2.5" DualSport XT with Bilisteins for $950

You can go lower then that. There are also spacer kits for less then $3-400

Awesome, that's great info thank you! How much would someone charge to install you think?

Not sure what they charge to install but its really not that hard to do in your garage. Just get some help from some wheeling buddies. We've had some install parties at my place and a lift like that can be knocked out in a couple hours.

I'd budget probably 400 for install. My mid arm will be 550 installed but as CJ7 said...if you don't get a kit that has A TON of adjustment capabilities, it should be pretty easy to install
