New from Chicago now living in the DFW area

Hello everybody. First time on this forum.

Does anyone know of a good mechanic who does work on modified jeep wranglers and not to crazily expensive?

Since I just moved from the windy city, I would like to find some good offroad spots in the area. I'm game for backroads, wooded areas, rock crawling, mud, water, sand, and etc. I like them all. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I can't help you with your questions but welcome to Texas and the forum. I was a transplant from Chicago as well.

Bridgeport is the closest, decent place to play! Clayton, OK is only a couple of hours north...

Not sure where you live in DFW but if you go south on 360 from 183 there are some trails to the east an west side of 360 just south of 183 just south of the railroad tracks. I have been going there for 20 yrs. Not very challenging but pretty fun for somewhere just to go. There also some trails by 820 and 30 on the fort worth side of the metro I have been to quite a few times. There are lots of places to go but if you just want to run around those are two quick spots to hit.

Best place to take your modified Jeep for repairs in DFW.
Jeeps Unlimited in Haslet
These guys take care of my Jeep and are fair with the pricing. Just depends on what you want done.

Welcome to Tx!
