It would be nice to find some trails locally. I hear they have some nasty trails in Blum, but that's about an hour drive.

Here is the link to this place. Rock Trails of Tolar

Most of the parks we go to we usually take the bikes or the quads.
Some of the big events I see a lot of Jeeps and trucks out playing.

Thanks! Tolar wouldn't be too far, I'm in Godley so that puts me about a half hour from there I believe.

My buddy has actually convinced me to go out Saturday to Blum with his group. Says it's all limestone, rock bottom crossings and some fairly technical trails, water, etc. Not sure what time we are heading out, but it should be a good time.

Blum is south on 174 through cleburne, headed towards Whitney. Left on 933 at the light and the trails come off right at the bridge over the river. About a mike or so on 933 from 174.

Well, Blum was a pretty good mix of mud and limestone. A pretty sweet stair step of rocks coming out of the river bed and lots of knee deep water. River bottom is navigable but there are a few deep holes ( which are avoided like the plague) trails are worn and easy to follow.
