Offroad spots in Midland/Odessa area

Is there anywhere in the Midland/Odessa area to go offroading?
Just looking for some light-medium trails.
I know these towns are overrun with oilfield so most property is private now.
Looking for something close, like not more than 30 minutes outside of either town.

Not a whole lot...most places are private and you have to know the owner. There is some sand areas in Big Spring that some of West Texas Crawlers go to, little more than 30 minutes drive though. Hubby and I are going with West Texas Crawlers this Saturday to the back side of the Kermit sandhills. If you are on Facebook, you really should check out the West Texas Crawlers since we do a different offroad trip for the members every month and most are to locations that an individual cannot get into, we get into them because of club reputation of being a family friendly and drama free club.

Moss lake east of Big Spring is a pretty good place to go. Its a decent place to camp and ride around here.
