What's going on EJ... yeah we at Texas Jeep Crawlers are an older crowed we range from 23 to 50's, (dam-mit just remembered I'm one of the oldest) oh well they are about two others that are older than me at 50 yrs old, but like EJ said we are a pretty cool crowd...
I'm out of Weslaco...
We meet every Wed and Sunday out in Penitas, Texas (that's on this side of La Joya) very, very little Mudding most of what we do is climb stuff: rocks, dirt, caliche trails... If anyone knows of a place out in the Mid Valley I can invite the guys to come over someday.... We're on facebook...
There is another club in the Mid Valley but they meet mostly in the PSJA area ( I think) you can also find them on Facebook under "South Texas Jeeps", of what I've seen they range in age from about 23 - 40's ( I think ) I do not know if they mud, crawl, or do trails... Maybe someone can post more on them.

there are several clubs out in the valley, just need to go out and meet the some of them... they are all pretty cool....

post here or PM if you want to join me out there any Wed or Sunday... that's if I'm making the run out on that day......

Palo Blanco Ranch is in Penitas, it's a good distance for myself but I enjoy the trip out there...
The other place would be the mud pit in Pharr, that's off Jackson toward Valley View... I have not been there in years so I would not be able to give you much info about that place.
The Jeeperos del Valley have a place out in Linn near San Manuel, but they are pretty much the same age if not older than the TJC crowd.
I know the guys at redroostmxpark.com wanted to do something for the Jeeping off-roading crowd... but do not know if they did.

What are you looking for, Mudding, trails, crawling, or just a jeep group to hang out?

you would be surprise what that little engine can do and you would even some money on gas in the process.

Every Wednesday and Sundays.....
I don't know if I will make it out this Wednesday thou....
You best bet would be to go out on a Sunday... we start earlier and it will give you some time to check things out....
Wednesdays its meeting night... we normally jeep for an hour or two and the rest of the time is spent on grilling.

The spot in Donna has mud and a few hills at another location it's not too great but it's what I've found locally

Texas Jeep Crawlers usually meet at 3pm or 4pm in the evening sometimes earlier... If your serious you can follow me to the place (Palo Blanco Ranch)....

Even if you do not try any of the obstacles it's still a good show of what any jeep is capable of doing.
Let me know what Sunday you would like to head out there... I try to make it out every Sunday, but sometimes married life gets in the way (not really a bad thing)....

Any pics of the place EJ?.....
You guys can check out some of the pics on Facebook (Texas Jeep Crawlers)... sometimes we post too many pics of our grilling and our hanging out and not enough 4 wheeling pics....
Here are some pics a buddy posted on another forum that he took of his Cherokee while wheeling with us at Palo Blanco Ranch.... click link below....
