Two of my friends and I are 17 but we've been wanting to make/join a club but, haven't found one we like. So if you make one us three might join.

Ahhh the MB diesel engine, good choice in the sense that diesel's are built for high mileage, how much power does it put out? And with all the custom mounts and whatnot it could get pretty pricey but I'm excited to see how that turns out. . I wanna drop a chevy 350 small block in my YJ but as a broke college student, my 4 banger will have to do for now. haha

i thought about it..but it would be more expensive. i use my jeep as a daily driver and i drive from brownsville to roma sometimes. A 4bt would give me way more hp and torque but for my needs a om617 would be just fine. i want to make it wvo or biodiesel...go green. i basically got all the parts from mercedesdiesel4x4.com.me. if you guys know of any one/ shop that can do it msg.

haha! I hear you on the broke college student part.. Where are you going to school boss? I'm going to STC in Pecan but considering on transfering over to Pan-Am for my Bachelors program..

Once my engine takes a dump, I'm thinking about dropping on a LS1 with Novak's motor mounts or maybe even go with a hemi but I'm just dreaming lol.

Yeah, I'm on the same boat but my jeep is stock.. I feel like I can't keep up with the club on the trails

My jeep is my DD but I have a pro-street camaro and go to car cruise-ins with TexasDragRacing and RGV Old cars but I have taken my jeep to several cruise ins. I know my jeep isn't as nice as some of the jeeps on this forum but some how I do get compliments when I have taken it to shows.

I have a friend who used to work at Expert on 4x4 and I believes he hangs out with Texas Jeep Crawlers.. He invited me to San Marcos to go wheeling but like I mentioned, I don't think my daily driver can keep up with those guys

I think there is another club called South Texas Jeeps, they are very active and I think they are a younger crowd.

Not entirely sure though but they are on Facebook

Dang, that sucks.. I am going to put in an order for the zone 4.25" combo lift some time this week. I'm gonna try to lift the jeep myself here at the racing shop and if I need help, I got a friend who works at burns motors lifting jeeps and dodge trucks daily.

I'll probably order from baseline outfitters or another sponsor on wranglerforum. Delayed the kit for now. o2 sensors are taking a dump. I can't believe o'reillys and autozone didn't have a scanner to diagnose my problem. I had to go with a friend of mine from Burns motors o2 sensors will set me back $200 to replace all 4 of them.

Check Expert on 4x4 in McAllen on Bus. 83.. They quoted me $900 for a 4" lift kit with installation.. Unfortunately for me, I'm a college kid that can't cough up 900 bones easily so I lifted the jeep myself. It took me 2 days for not knowing what I was doing

Before:

After:

Now I need 33s lol

Not bad man! I thought I knew about suspensions before I did the lift. I must admit.. I learned alot through installing my lift. I am not going to lie.. My 4" lift rides better than my stock suspension. My jeep still had the factory rear shocks from back in 2003 so I'm sure they were shot and was probably the culprit for my bottoming out.

Anyone going out to Carfest this weekend at the McAllen Convention Center? They are having the indoor car show and also an outdoor carshow. I plan on taking the jeep on saturday or sunday since my buddies from TexasDragRacing.com are also helping out with the event.
