RK lift install...$550!

So I'm going back and forth on installing my rk X factor lift myself. I'm nervous to get into it and encountering a problem with my only car out of commission. On the other hand I'm getting install cost at both 4wd and rock and roll offroad for $550 including alignment.

I have a buddy that is a professional welder so the welding can be done. Anyone know of a shop that has better install prices? Or maybe do it myself with someone that has experience in installing lifts so I don't totally F' up.

That seems pretty cheap with including an alignment. I would still do it yourself, but I have seen much higher labor prices posted here for lift installs.

What lift are you doing that requires welding?

Agreed. That's a good price from everything I've had quoted and read about.
