I can't peddle that fast. Lol

My little girl is wanting a quad. I've been looking at them with growing interest. I was thinking of renting one at hidden falls next time we foot see how she really likes it first.

I just bought my spare and wheel to go on my new Wurx bumper that gets here on tues. if not for that I was going to buy a Diamondback Overdrive 5. I have a good friend who rides and he's telling me to ride instead of running all the time.

The effects of riding last longer (after riding) than running. (according to magazine- so who knows how accurate that is) my dad has a diamond back 29er. It's a good bike.

That's what my buddy said but if I buy one I have to mod the bike carrier to get past the 35. It's a vicious cycle, no pun intended.

Thanks all. Monica I'll definitely check out the site. Bat. Would love to link up with the group some time. My Sahara is still stock right now but looking to drop a lift in as soon as I can get my tools out of storage. We are living out of a hotel right now until on post housing opens up on Ft Sam.

Thanks

LawC350, welcome. I don't know if I can make it up to Hidden Falls this weekend because my brother's coming to town from Dallas but I'll check the link to the BBQ. Looking forward to meeting you all at some point.

Looking for recommendations from you all on a good quality, inexpensive lift that will not change the ride too much from stock.. I'm only looking to go about 2.5 inches, so I have the option to move up to 35's at some point. I've been searching around and from what I've been able to find thus far, the Teraflex 2.5 BB with Teraflex 9550 shocks seems to be a good option as a starting platform. Any other suggestions? I'm really trying to keep the cost down, but still want a good product. My off road experience is limited and I still need to keep a comfortable ride for daily driving.

Thanks for your suggestions-

IMO trying to very much actual crawling / offroading with only a 2.5 and running 35" is gonna be a problem depending on flex and approach and departure angles your most likely gonna rub somewhere . Sticking with a nice 33" tire for you is gonna be the best bet , plus your mileage will be a tad better and it's a Lil bit softer on the pocket book to buy them. I'm running nearly 6.5 inches of total lift and runnin 33" federals and I go pretty much where I point it . If not my winch finishes the job nicely . Didn't really see what rig your running but I'd bet it's a TJ. One of our jeep peeps mike just had a pretty nice rough country lift installed recently and I'm sure he will give you some honest reviews on it because only a week after getting it we were up at HF wheelin it ! It did great ! He is madkinstx on here so hit him up . Anything else you need we can work it out at one of our monthly meetings . Speaking of that see if you can show at free tail sat at 630 pm

Great thanks. To be honest I don't know how crazy I'll get in crawling but definitely want to do some off roaring. My rig is an 09 Sahara all stock right now. I'll see what I hear form a few others and see of Mike posts anything. Wish I could make it this weekend, but have some family visiting from out of town. Thanks again.

I have the Rough Country 2.5 x kit. Run 900$ but it replaces every thing under there; springs, shocks, adjustable lower and upper control arms, adjustable front trac bar, rear trac bar relocation bracket, and quick swaybar disconnects. I also went with the upgraded steering stabilizer, love the kit. I run 31s right now and wheel the hell out of it. I could go up to 33s with high line fenders or a 1.25 body lift, but don't want to regear yet. You could go with the basic kit runs 299$, and peace the rest out as needed.

I have a 3.5" rubicon express on 35's. I like the lift so far, I've had it for about two months. Have done anything offload but when I do it will be mild. Mainly a street rig. 2.5" and 33's would work well for mild offroading. I went 3.5" because I'll move up to 37's once these tires are finished.

Hello! New here but not to Jeep Nation. I had a Teraflex 2.5 installed (Wassup Batjeep?) back in February. I kept the original Rubi shocks and went with their brake line extenders. Turns out the extenders give the brake lines the length but by pushing down has placed it directly in contact with the rear sway bar and has ground down my lines quite a bit. So...my suggestion is to skip the brake line relocators on the back and opt for throwing in some longer lines.
