Awesome! Hope y'all have a fun, safe trip.

I'm thinking about going back & doing a little wheeling again this Saturday if anyone is up for it.

Hey there Stranger, hope your holidays went well. I'm very interested, but I've got to finish redoing the wiring on a friends TJ. Someone did a hack job on the wiring for all the accessories & he needs the Jeep to be ready to go for work tomorrow. Let me assess what I have left, may be able to break loose for an hour or so. It will be just me, everyone else is at work. I have the day off thankfully.

No sir, I sure haven't, but I have good friend who has. Tell me more about the Jeep & how the shaft got broke, then I'll tell him about it. After that, I'll turn around & relay the info to you. Is it the front axle, or rear axle?

Front axle. 04 rubicon. Snapped it backing out of the gas station after wheeling. It turns out I blew my u joint and that tore up the seal and twerked up my inner shaft. Never opened an axle before was looking for some advice but after me n pops pulled it apart it isn't too complicated.

Got my jeep put back together! Learned a lot about how the front end works. Simple job looking back on it. Gonna replace the rest of my shafts and u joints this summer. If anyone's looking to beef up their axles. The chromoly shaft and spicer 5-760 u joints from superior axle is plug n play and under 200$ a piece. Got recommended by Jerry bransford and I'm looking forward to torture testing them.

I'd like to wheel some today at 1:00pm. I think I can work it out to be out at the Pit for a couple of hours this afternoon.

I went out there on Thursday after work from about 5:00-7:00 and it was pretty muddy. Probably has dried out alot since then, but the road to the pit had some pretty deep mud holes.
