Thanks guys! I still have a ways to go, but I do have all this to still get in. Just sat the rear stuff out, the fronts there too in the boxes.

SWEET!

Are you changing your gearing, or just installing the lockers?

Regearing to 5.13's along with the lockers. I went full lockers front and rear to get rid of the stock spider gears. I almost went with a lunchbox style locker up front.

Nice. What type of mileage change do you expect with that gearing? Not that wheelers care much about mileage. Just curious. I'm thinking about a non rubicon JK as a daily driver, and using the LJ as a weekend warrior. The rubicon 4.11s make her a little thirsty for daily driving.

From what I've seen and read, if I go 35's with the 5.13's with the superchips, I should be getting around 18mpg, give or take a little.

The 07-11 jk's are pretty undergeared in stock form. There's one guy here in Midland that thought the 5.13's were to just to steep and went for the 4.88's and he said he'd go with the 5.13's if he had to do it over, I don't wanna be in that boat.

18!!! Wow....nice. My LJ has never seen much better than 15, and I'm on 33's! I shouldn't compare apples to oranges, but that is an impressive number for a wrangler on 35's.

Well it's been awhile since I posted something so I guess I better. The Desert Rattler club is doing great Toolman and I have got the ball rolling. Thanks to H2ogun And BJ for your hard work. Oooo and let's not forget Ms. Jess thanks for your hard work as well. I encourage the rest of you to look the club up www.desertrattler4x4.com are you can call me at 903-330-7104 with any questions you might have. We are looking for new members to come and join the club if you know someone please pass it on. Also it does not half to be a jeep (yes I said that on the form sorry my fellow jeepers) it can be any kind of 4x4. Again thanks for all the hard work everyone has done for the club.

When I saw the covers it was an immediate must have, or at least something like it.
I think you have to send Rob an e-mail to join the group. He should get back with you soon.

We actually have a member of the club who does custom metal fab on the side when he's not working. Making those covers would be a snap for him. I'll introduce him to you next time we can all get together.

Thanks for checking the site! Here very soon, we will have an online application that potential members can fill out & submit. The yearly membership fee is $75.00 & you will receive a club sticker along with a club shirt or hat once we get them made. There will also be other fringe benefits of being a club member as well. For now, just sign the guest book & state that you, &/or anyone else is interested, then send us an e-mail to Info@DesertRattler.com My phone # & Scott's phone # is also on the site if anyone has any further questions.

FYI - D.R. 4X4 Site Server Undergoing Repairs/Upgrades

Just wanted to let everyone know that the hosting company the site is hosted through is doing repairs & updates on the server that our site is hosted on today & possibly tomorrow.

When you try to pull the site up, it pulls up an undesirable error message so I apologize for that, but the site will be back up very soon (according to the hosting company )

I did send them an email requesting that they do something about the unfavorable error message though.

Give me a call, my phone number is on the site. Basically, you fill out an application/information/consent form, & the yearly membership dues are $75.00/year. I can explain better on the phone though

Sweet, I'd love something like that. Reminds me to check with the guys demoing the plasma cutter at the upcoming rock climb out here.

Yea i think a mesh screen will be installed under it, maybe in red or black to make it pop more and to protect the speakers.

Went to the Pit a couple of days ago to ride for only about an hour. While I was there, a city of Odessa pickup with two men in it watched me for a few minutes, then stopped me. They told me that this was private property and I would need to leave. I didn't really argue with them and left the area.

They asked me first if I was there to shoot and of course I said "No", but later it made me think that maybe they are trying to crack down on people shooting at the pit. Has anyone else had anything like this happen to them while at the Pit?

On a related matter, someone dumped a lot of a sand like substance at the top of the best hill climb out at the pit making it impassable.
