I'm looking for a local shop that will fix my air conditioner. I can do it myself, but I suspect the cost of parts AND air fare will be pretty close to just having someone do it for me. it needs a new compressor, lines, evaporator and condenser. I had a small leak, put some stop leak in it and apparently didnt let it circulate long enough. next time i turned it on it blew the lines right off the compressor.

Any suggestions for a reliable, trustworthy mechanic?

There are two good places I know & trust, both are in Odessa though. Premier Car Care on 7th Street & A-1 Auto Air Conditioning & Heating on Dale Street. I would have to say A-1 is the best I have found in West Texas period when it comes to automotive & camper A/C systems.

Welcome Back!!! For when you get back lol. My wife & I were definitely glad to get back home after being transferred to central PA for a few years.

If you need help with anything else, or have more questions, feel free to contact us through the link in my signature. We're a family friendly group who helps each other out any time one of us needs a hand with something, or just to get together for the sake of getting together.

I wanted to add that A-1 is also known as ARA of Odessa as well They are located at 623 Dale Street & their number is (432) 332-0922

Thanks Toolman. I will give them a call on Monday and talk with them. I miss driving my rig! The a/c didn't matter in San Diego, but it definitely will when we get back to Texas.

I haven't seen them in here for a little bit, but KidRock & SU18 are both in Lubbock. They are great people if you are able to get in touch with them. Maybe they'll drop in soon.

Any time! I bet, I'd miss mine if I was miles away from it for a while. Yea, lol, definitely nice to have A/C around these parts. If you need anything else , feel free to let us know

Memorial Weekend 2013

I'm going to Guadalupe Ranger District of Lincoln National Forest just west of Carlsbad, NM this weekend. Any one who is interested in going, let me know. My plans are to leave either Friday around 5:00pm or Saturday Morning around 7:00am. Plan to leave LNF around 12:00 noon on Monday. Two nights of camping, as much trail riding as possible. The National Forest area as about a 3 hour drive from Midland-Odessa and worth every bit of it.

Looks good, I have the same flares (indication you have good taste (chuckle)). Looks like the smittybilt bumper??.

Winch is good. Make sure to have a hulkin connection to your battery. Stay tuned for a "winch clinic" and get to know the ins and outs of your winch (pun intended) Desert Rattler 4x4 club, we have been talkin about having a winch clinic but seems like we are all so busy. IT WILL HAPPEN

Actually is a spyder bumper. A winch clinic would be great. Let me know when and where.

Yes it will, actually we will plan to do a winch clinic the first or second weekend of July in preparation for our D.R. 4X4 wheeling/camping trip to Colorado later in the month.

We will do, details will be posted on the calendar page of our website very soon, it will be posted on our Facebook page as well.

Feel free to contact us if you need any help installing the winch, etc. We'd be happy to help if you need it.

Well, the wife and I rolled into town yesterday. Pretty tired, but had a great morning catching up with mom and dad. The Jeep has been at ARA since last week, and should be ready Monday. Excited to have the AC running again! Thanks for the advice on where to send the rig! Turns out the guys there do a lot of work for a good friend of my sister and her husband who owns rodeo bulls.

I'm looking for a remote control for my XRC winch. Mine is getting a bit ragged. If you have one, working or not, pm me please!

Thanks,
