Im looking to get a Teraflex 2.5" lift for the new jeep. West Texas Off Road in San Angelo is a dealer and said they could the job for about $1000. Does anyone know anything about them or recommend a shop in Midland Odessa? How bout West Texas Off Road center in Odessa? How do they do on Jeeps?

I have a set of black MB72s sitting here waiting on tires. Planning on Duratrac 285/70/17s. This stuff is for a Cosmos Blue 2012 JKU Rubicon.

I'm in Odessa, I haven't heard anything bad about West Texas Off Road here. I personally haven't had anything installed there since I pretty much do all the work on my Jeep myself.

I'll stop by there tomorrow & see what they would charge for the same install for you.

I talked to them and the counter guy had not heard of Teraflex and he did not seem to know much about jeeps. It will probably be worth the extra drive time to San Angelo.

Im 19. And I put my own 2.5" lift in. I highly recommend it. It teaches you slot about how your jeep works under there. I would also recommend the OME 2.5" lift kit from dpg offroad. Much better quality and complete kit. If you install it yourself you'll pay the same thing.

Sounds like you're right. I've gotta go look for a special work light for the work truck anyway. I'll see if anyone knows anything about Jeeps while I am there just for the heck of it.

Not a bad idea either if you have the tools. How long did it take you to install it Kid?

I used to do the work on all my stuff. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, jet ski, trailers. I dont have near the tools/equipment I used to have. I seemed to have lost interest in the DIY projects but not spending the money. I just ordered my tires. Should be here next week. So after the lift I need to lay off for a little while. But, looking at my F250 got me to thinking it may need a lift, wheels and tires too.

Toolman, I see in your profile CBs are one of your hobbies. Im thinking I may need a set up for both the jeep and the truck just for fun. What kind of set up would you recommend?

Check your PM box, I will send you a PM. I own about 20 or 30 CB's that I have collected & fixed & what not. I can save you some money if you want. If you want new, it just depends on what you want out of a CB. For small & simple, a Cobra 25 or a Uniden 68 would be a great durable choice. I'll explain more later, wife is on my ass to take her to dinner, lol.

Yes, yes sir. It has not gone by the wayside. I am currently looking for a good place to get together & do some mild to moderate wheeling. I'm thinking some time in May maybe, but open to suggestions.

I did stop by the West Texas Off Road Center in Odessa Friday. The head tech/sales rep. said all they carry there as far as lift kits is SkyJacker, Rancho, & some off brand, forgot what it was. He seemed fairly knowledgeable & anal about things being done right.

Probably better to go to the one in San Angelo, but I really don't know much about either place. The one in Odessa mainly outfits various pickups for the oilfield.

I did in the work truck (2012 Ford F-250 diesel) Did nothing BUT offroad in it yesterday morning getting to the location I had to go to yesterday. It was quite enjoyable, haven't been mudding in quite a while.
