From what I have been able to find, all the places in the Bastrop area are no more. Closest place would probably be Hidden Falls, just east of Marble Falls.

That sucks that all the areas near Bastrop are gone. I can't wait to move back to OC, you can't throw a rock without hitting a trail up in the mountains.

I'm in north Dallas and itching to get the Jeep off road. My stock tires finally need replacing so a lift and bigger wheels are in the works.

Austin, TX here. Just bought my first Jeep, '08 JKU Rubicon two weeks ago. I've been reading the posts on this forum to learn as much as I can. Perhaps I'll be able to meet some of you all on the trails.

Just wanted to let you all know that a jeep club has been around for several months. The name is Cult of Jeep. They have 2 chapters one in San Antonio and one in Abilene. It's free, and seems to be very fun and informative. They have a forum and tons of info about mods and write ups with mods (I made a step by step about my rock lights).

This isn't a ploy to come join us, although I'd love to meet y'all. This is just information I wished I would have known.

Oh their website is www.cultofjeep.com
