I'm in Fort Worth. Have you checked the TX Parks and Wildlife website? Some of the state parks have trails and rides-family friendly

There are several goat trails in Big Bend that run along the Rio Grande and throughout the park. Fun Place to explore. I haven't checked the rest of the parks we have here.

I'm in Waxahachie, TX about 30 mins due south of Dallas. Looks like I'm about 20 mins E of Bluvikng.

About 360/Trinity, a buddy of mine was just telling me they went there not too long ago and when the showed up the police were writing everybody tickets on their way out. Turns out somebody got hung on the RR tracks so they had to call and shut down the trains until they got the jeep off. Supposedly cost the RR bunch of money so they started patroling occasionally. Don't know how accurate any of that is. My next trip is to 820/Trinity if I ever find the time. Then to Gilmer SOON!

Yeah, the last time I went to 360 & Trinity, last April, the cops surrounded us, like we were bank robbers, took all our drivers licenses, ran them, told us never to come back, and spread the word. No tickets issued, just a friendly warning!!!!!! Only good thing about all that, we still had our rigs, on our trailers.........

Just got back from Gilmer, last night, and had a blast. It was still a little to warm, but we had some wheeling release, anyway........

Odhinn routinely calls the police when people get on those tracks. You see, he's the dispatcher! lol

I can't wait. Never been before. I think we (the only jeep folks I know) decided to wait until later in Sept so will be a little cooler. Maybe I'll have my lift upgraded by then!

Wichita Falls Texas here.. North Central Texas. I have to say that my favorite place to wheel is not actually here in Texas. Its at Clayton Oklahoma.
I went to Katemacy this year here in Texas and I had a blast, the trails were as nasty as you wanted to make them, and I liked that alot.
But, The one thing I wish that you could do there is... Night wheel. I love to night wheel, and when I drive several hours to go wheelin, I want to get as much wheelin in as I can, An at clayton oklahoma or Disney Oklahoma, you can do that.
Call me strange, but I love to night wheel...

Shiloh is a great place to wheel!! I used to live in Nacogdoches (30 miles east of Alto Tx), and we went to Shiloh ridge ALL the time.

I was on duty that night and that Jeep was almost a pile of scrap. The driver jumped out as the train was coming around a blind curve and left his girl friend in the passenger seat. Fortunately the train was running slow and was able to stop about 7 feet before crushing the poor girl in the jeep. They were both dang lucky. I don't know how much it cost the railroad but I know I didn't like the fact that my night went from feet on the desk to pure hell in about 20 seconds. One piece of advice...Stay away from any railroad tracks. A 100 car freight train running 60 MPH takes about 1 mile to stop fully, and the weight ratio of 1 locomotive running over a vehicle is just like your jeep running over a beer can.

Ok enough of a downer from me...how is everyone in this great state doing.
