From what I hear there's some stuff in San Angelo, but when I was up there last summer I didn't really find where they were.

Are you a member of the West Texas Jeep Club? I just got in touch with a guy from it and I think they are planning a trip to Big Bend in a couple of weeks.

I've heard the same thing about San Angelo but no one has ever said anything specific as to where to go. I've always assumed they were talking about private land.

Yeah I'm a member although I've never attended an actual meeting. Here's the email Tim just sent out about the Big Bend trip. It looks like it's all next week.

Quote:
E-mail from Geoff with SAJE

Everything is a go for the trip to Big Bend. I have the keys to ranch and will be there sometime late on Monday, April 14th. I be there until Sunday, April 20th. Who ever is there will set the pace for the trails. Other road trips include Monday night at the Starlight for "two for one burgers", Wednesday night at La Kiva for "open mic" night, and a tour of Lajitas to see where 125 million was thrown(politically correct term) out in the desert and lost.

I hear the motel is booked, our National Guard are staying at the motel this year so rooms are scarce. I think they are rebuilding the river road in Big Bend National Park. Hopefully they won't build a fence! Let me know if you have a reservation and have changed plans. A large group from Odessa are coming and are looking for rooms.

From what I've been able to put together, there are some trails around Twin Buttes Reservoir and some around Lake Nasworthy. I don't know anyone from SA to ask about it though.

I'm in Missouri currently but will be moving back to Texas the 2nd of May to Houston Area. I lived in Arlington for about 10 years and I still consider it my home even tho I no longer live there.

Where about in Arlington do you live? I lived right behind Martin High school (Where I Graduated).

I went to Martin High also but only for my freshman year, I moved back to grapevine and graduated at Colleyville in 05. Anyone ever go to mosure valley in the euless/bedford area, kinda by 360? I go there everyonce in a while. There a ton of mud and 2 creeks you can cross, its pretty fun.

Well this place isnt off of 360 and trinity, its actually someones land that they let people come out to off road and party. Bad thing is they sold their mineral rights so now the natural gas companies are tearing things up. But theres definetly enough to do out there to have fun and get some mud on the tires.

Iím in San Angelo. We do have an area of public land here where you can wheel. A small are to climb some rocks and lots of trails. A lot of them are overgrown but you can still push your way through. Trails here are nothing to write home about but they are fun for a little weekend wheeling.
