I live 30 minutes east of spring in the kingwood area and I haven't found anything since spring creek shut down! Well until the new owner reopens a new park somewhere, if he still plans on doing that!

I hear-tale of a 3000acre spread in Marble Falls, that about an hour from Austin and I hope to give it a shot soon.

Otherwise I gotta go east to one I heard of in the Bryan/College station or Huntsville area.

Not sure of the names or details.

Haven't been there though. The place near Huntsville is called General Sam's. I haven't been there either, but wanting to go to both.

My son went four wheeling just off the 380. I will give him a call and find out the location. Here are some pix from our trip to Bridgeport two weeks ago.

I am not really sure what level the trails were in Bridgeport but there was plenty of variety. I drove around with the daughters and it was pretty easy. But it was clear that I could get into some real aggressive terrain. There was some deep mud (which I avoided because I was with the kids) and some steep hills 45+ degrees.

Just got a text from my son. He found some trails just off the 121 and Custer. On the south side just past the 7-11. Sounds like an area that will be chewed up with all the new construction so it should be okay to drive around. I will check it out this weekend and let you know.

It's not a bad place to wheel but be careful I had a buddy get a ticket over there for trespassing. Another good place is off ridge and 380 close to the end of the road there is a short trail.

Hey all, new to the forum and to Jeeps in general. Always wanted one, finally broke down and got a 2010 Sport a few days ago. Still stock, but looking to change that over the next few months. Any trails around here good for a newb? Any advice?

There are plenty of Texans on the Forum. Just use the search function and check all the threads about Texas!

Also there is a lonestar jeep club

Lastly, there is a Jeep Jamboree in the spring. I have no idea what that is but the pix looked very interesting. I am going to see if I can make it next year

Keep waving.

Got it!! Thanks. No need for us to chew up somewhere that we aren't wanted. I have big plans in the spring to head to Moab Utah. It is exactly 1.016 miles from my house (I love to dream with my GPS). Kind of the Mecca for jeepers

Keep waving.

Sorry, I'm around the Tollway and George Bush in DFW.

So far the best *legal* area I've found is a little stretch of Coit Rd between Main and 380. It's basically some deep ruts in a dirt road, but I bet it'd be fun after a rain.

Any of you guys know a good place to go for tires / wheels? Any suggestions? I don't want to lift yet so looking for something that would fit stock, wider wheel base with deeper tread. Or to get the interior Rhino coated? I've got a lead on someone who will do the interior for $400 and a case of beer, but haven't got it nailed down yet.

I'm tentatively thinking this weekend if I can work out some logistics. Suppose to rain, so should be good and muddy
