Anything around okc?

There's a lot of talk about people and places around Tulsa but there's quite a few of us jeep lovers here in OKC too! Any good trails nearishby? Or just anything to do other than the spread out mud pits you occasionally come across would be nice!

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm told there are some trails at se59th & s Douglas, just east of Tinker. If you look at it in GoogleEarth its just a dirt road coming off se 59th. I don't know the legality of using it, but there are no fences (at least according to when the googleearth images where taken).

I chatted with one local (yukon) jeep guy in a parking lot. He said he just wheels somewhere outside town. He didn't specify where. I assumed it wasn't an authorized area.

Yeah, I'm from Yukon too. Sometimes you can find places no big deal though. I just get kinda bored out here ya know?

Check out a group called Red Dirt Jeeps on Facebook. It's a group of OKC Jeepers that go out all the time.

I drove down from Enid to wheel there. It was my off road cherry in a new Rubicon I had owned for about twenty minutes, still had the paper dealer tag on it. I joined up with these guys on that run.

I had it (dw) in the worst way. Spent over 5 days @ the dealership tightening and double checking EVERY bolt and ended up being a belt in the front pass tire going bad. Might check that by borrowing some tires and taking it for a ride. Just be careful. Good luck bro.

I took it into Discount tire and they looked over the front end and did a rotate and balance. They said everything was tight but my two front tires were out of balance. I did this on Friday and so far no DW but I'll probably find out for sure this week. I wouldn't think my front tires would cause the DW but we'll see. Oh, Discount Tire didn't charge me a penny, good folks there !!!!
