K-trail and beyond

Me and a buddy are getting ready to play in some Oklahoma/Arkansas back country for a few days. I will be posting updates along the way. So long as internet I available.

If you get a chance to run K-trail do it. It's a blast. We hit the trail at 7:30 Friday morning and made it to the fire tower by 6:00 pm. We took our time taking pics and enjoying the scenery and the awesome weather.
Trail had some good spots in it

And of course the Last Resort

Yes the trail does get tight. This particular hole found my bumpers under water

Home for the night. Camped by the fire tower. This is possibly the best camp spot I have been to. The views were great and it was so quiet

From Clayton trail and nine pines rd to the fire tower

3sticks monument on hwy 259

From there we rode the national forest into Mena

Refueled and ready to go we went out towards wolf pen gap area and did some exploring. If your in the area check out county road 631. It's a heck of a climb but the views up top are worth it

Camp for the evening

Brats and ranch style beans for supper. Can't be beat

Day 1&2 mileage

Once we got going Sunday I was trying to find a way thru some back roads back to Texas. Ran into a snag or I should say opportunity. Bridge gone! Who needs a bridge when you have a jeep

My buddy says " I'm going to back through it in case there is a deep spot.

His jeep has 35's

Here is some cell phone video from the trip

That looks fun! I need to dump more money into the Jeep and camping gear and hit that trail!
