Yup! Ever since I joined, my CB has been on that channel

A cb radio. You know like truck drivers use? Lol I always catch their convos when I'm heading down the highway.

It can vary. Channel 19 is where you can catch a lot of people, it's a general channel, like if you're on the highway and stranded and a trucker can help you. If you are offroad and talk here, you'll amuse the truckers and most likely not find the help you want.

Channel 4 is often used by a few Jeep clubs in OKC (and elsewhere). Channel 25 up by Tulsa more.

Our club uses channel 25 I'm not sure how common it is. 19 is the standard though.

Awesome! Thanks for all the replies, I'll be getting a CB radio soon, I'm sure it'll come in handy and help us look after eachother.

Speaking of CBs, what do y'all recommend? Handheld or fixed-mount radios?

I have a fixed Uniden 520 and it's an awesome and cheap unit but I really wished I would've gotten a handheld for the reason you just described. I worry about someone walking up and just taking it

New guy here! Bought my brand new JKU on Christmas Eve. I live at Forest Ridge golf course in Broken Arrow, so just a few miles from 51st and 209th.

Have you checked out 209th yet? Theres some good wheeling there, but its a little messy and rutted out in some places at the moment.

No, haven't been out there yet. Cleaned the Jeep up last night and my wife took it out today. Needless to say, it looks like she took it mudding.

I haven't been out much to see how the roads are but thats not surprising. You might check it out, but I would go with a group especially if you don't know the area or its trails. Keystone is also fun for beginners and Disney is awesome if you are up for a weekend or day trip.

I'll be up there for college next year. Are there any good trails around there?
