Still Looking for a Jeep

Howdy,

Hey everyone, new to the forum and new to the whole Jeep world. I've wanted one for years, now as a college graduate I finally have the time and funds to afford one!

I'm trying to find advice about what dealer in Oklahoma to hit up. I've never purchased a vehicle either new or used without assistance (lame right?). So I'm trying to buy local before branching out to Denver, KC, Austin, Wichita and so forth.

I'm unsure of a 2 door or a 4 door still, as I'm debating how much cargo space I will need. And I'm still debating what set up I want. I want a bit more than the sport offers and less than the rubicon, but none of that fancy electronic stuff. If I wanted that I'd get something not made to play in!

So maybe the Willys Wheeler type of set up, with the bigger wheels/rims, better shocks and so forth.

At this point I'm rambling, any dealer recommendations?

If your plan is to take it wheeling and not just to get you to the mall then you are better off getting a Rubicon, don't waste your money on a Rubicon X, for the money you can get better stuff. Jeeps are iffy when you start looking at used ones, you just don't know how bad or good the person b4 you was to it plus with the resale values depending on what you are looking at it is just better off going new. If you go new or used it is better to have the Jeep for a year b4 you start adding mods especially if you are new to the Jeep community, this gives you time to see others and what they have done and why, what works and what does not, and gives you an idea of how much money you will end up spending because once you start there is no turning back. Between parts and the tools youll need to install and keep up your new found awesomeness. Find a local club and make some friends. I should be at fort Sill by the end of the year if you still need some help
