Man I spent a boat load of money down at this dump. These guys need a lesson on customer service. I don't see them lasting in Tulsa. Take you biz elsewhere they will appreciate it more.

I've been in a couple times and two different guys spent about 10 minutes trying to track down a bikini top for my LJ. I wanted a mesh top specifically. They found it and ordered it. I don't know about service, but I love that you can get the website prices locally. Pay for tax instead of shipping. I've never had any service work done there, nor will I ever probably as I like to do most work on my own (with some help of course).

I liked them personally.

There are a few good dudes there. But there are a few that fit another verb. Can't win them all. I hope they get it all worked out down there because I too have enjoyed 4wheelparts.com. But i will say my rig is set up very well. I made a hybrid rig to do some trails and drive it everyday. I've had it at top highway speeds that i wont confess too here and it goes straight and smooth down the road. So they did a good job. I got what I paid for at a fair price and the guys that I started with were great. My problem stems from a return trip and was ignored as I walked around the store aimlessly with no help. Just seems to me it wouldn't hurt a person to stop giggling with his buddy and say hello and ask if I needed any help or even let me in on the joke I like to laugh. I have a JK i would like to have done next but they are going to have to earn my business on that one. No more just walking in because they are 4wheelparts.com. The other guys in town I didn't use will definitely be getting a call when it's JK build time.

Fact is this- they are going to last in Tulsa, just like the last in other markets. Maybe you had a bad experience, but keep this in mind- they JUST opened that shop in the past 90 days (roughly). Give them a break.....Maybe they need to figure out a few things. The manager at the Tulsa store is a great guy, but maybe his staff isn't as "experienced" as you require.

I"ve had mixed results there. Went in the first time and they were great. The second time, we were ignored and they seemed put off by our presence.
I had an alignment there and I think they know what they are talking about as far as fixing things and troubleshooting.
I'm horrible with names... The big black guy is awesome and will help you out and really knows his stuff. There is a middle aged white guy with a salt-pepper beard or goatee who has zero personality and even fewer customer service skills.
I'll probably continue to shop there, just because it is close and they have decent prices.

That's pretty much where I'm at. But will prolly give my big work to some of the other shops and use 4wheelparts.com. I was promised by their regional guy that they would fix this issue but salt and pepper guy sounds like a disgruntled fixture at that company. The black you spoke of should be running the show in Tulsa he was great to me also.
The guy you're referring to is Corey Marshall. He's the manager of the store, and a really great guy. He ran the store here in the Okc market for a number of years.....If you have an issue, I'd suggest reaching out to him directly.

All excuses being considered. They are still like door knobs everyone has one and everyone gets a turn at giving one. Problem is the sting of being treated poorly at a business is hard to get rid of and excuses given by coworkers for why the company hired people to treat customers poorly is really no excuse at all. I appreciate your opinion beau but maybe get off the payroll and have the experience's we have had. Again the kind of money I spent in that place warrants a little kindness not even a lot but at least don't blow it twice and that's what the Tulsa crew did. Employees are only as strong as their leadership. Good luck 4 wheel parts Tulsa but I gave you guys the opportunities and discovered my search continues. The good news is my jeep does well because of effort you put in adding what I told you to add. I just don't feel good about how I was treated to get what I wanted.

I agree with some of your points, but I'm in NO WAY associated with that organization, other than a having bought from them. I've been an active member of many different forums in the past 10 years, with this being the only Jeep forum. I always find it amusing when someone joins a forum, and their first few posts are "flaming" a local business. Good luck with your search to find the shop that can meet your needs. If you ever get to the Oklahoma City area, you should try Custom Off-Road Equipment. They're right next door to H&H Gun Range.

I feel like I can add something to this silly thread. After living in 3 different places that all had 4WParts stores that I have dropped WAAAYYYY too much money in, my experiences should be noted.

On the whole their staff is attentive and knowledgable, there have been a few times I've asked for something they haven't heard about yet - but they are always willing to look it up on the internets and/or call management. On a handfull of occasions I've had younger, inexperienced associates tell me what I need or should buy b/c everyone else is. Being ignored when I walk in the door has never happened to me personally.

The only work I've had them do was a shock/steering stab. replacement b/c I was in transit and had no tools with me. They did it w/ a .5 hour labor charge which I thought was more than fair. And I got the buy 3 get one free on the shocks!!

As someone who's worked in small privately owned businesses I can attest to bad hires. My mom likes to say "If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys". So, when a new business opens there are always growing pains. However, if you don't like their service and there are other options that's the beauty of capitalism.

Either give them another chance, or don't. It's entirely up to you.

Guys I appreciate the support. Whenever you open a new business corperate or not it's a challenge. From advertising and getting your name out there to putting together a great crew. We've come along way since we opened in February and business has been great. Yes we are a corporate store, but I do my absolute best to treat every customer like they have a buddy who runs a 4WD shop. The 4WD/offroad is a community. That's what got me hooked years ago and that's why i still love getting up and going to work everyday. I enjoy speaking with customers and helping them build their rigs. If you've ever dealt with me I think you'll realize that. Every time you walk into my store is an opportunity to earn your business and if myself or my crew have ever fallen short of your expectations I'll do whatever i can to make it right.

Corey
