Hey man . . . I've heard about Hollister a few times but haven't seen or heard much about the trails . . . it's a pretty far drive so I'd love to see some pics and see a trail report to see if it would be worth the drive up there. Went out there a fews years ago with my dad on our bikes, for the big bike event out there and the landscape is beautiful in the surrounding areas . . . if the trails are cool, I might just have to pack up the Jeep and make a long weekend out of it one of these days.

It's a fun place to play. Feel free to check out my photobucket album for Hollister Hills Pics.

Good thing you called ahead this time banipal19

I don't know if I'll be there or not yet. If I do show up, I'll try to be at the restrooms at 10am.

Thanks Ray! Are all the trails pretty similar to what you have in your pics . . . looks pretty tame with just a few rocks to play on . . . are there challenging obstacles out on the trails or are they pretty much graded fire road types?

Schmo, to get a better idea of Hollister ... I would say check it on YouTube (search for Hollister Hills Jeep). It is about 800 acre area full of fun. It has something for everyone. Top Truck Challenge is held at Hollister. More info here ... http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1179

Ray ... hope to see you there

whiteyj ... Definitely we will plan a trip as soon as you get back!

I don't think Holister alone is worth the trip. There are areas equal to and much more difficult in your area. If you are in the area for other stuff (?) to stretch the weekend out it may be worth it. Its a great place, just not a large place.

It was a lot of fun ... did the Bonanza gulch, truck hill, obstacle course and a lot of other trials. Some of the unmarked ones were really good
