Stoddard Wells video:

I was playing with a new camera that isn't a video camera. So I didn't get a lot of usable footage.

Looks like a fun spot, I'm sure we didn't do that section when I was out there so I need to go back. Good stuff!

She camped with me a couple times before, including two nights of primitive camping on the Mojave Road last year. It's just not something she particularly cares much for.

You should definitely check it out. That waterfall is pretty intimidating. Many in our group definitely had some 'trail anxiety' when we got to it. Many didn't make it up and had to be winched. A few others bypassed it.

I recorded a GPS track of our run. Let me know if anyone is interested and I can post it.

Rick that waterfall was on Pumpkin Eater? Or one of the new canyons? Steve was saying VV4W has been cutting canyons out there on par with the hammers...

It's on Pumpkin Eater.

Another note on Pumpkin Eater -- if you want to do all of it, probably want to start early in the day. The big waterfall is maybe 60% up, there's still a lot more to do.

I'd like to go back sometime and start with Pumpkin Eater. I've also heard about Achy Breaky. Don't think we did any of it.

Sounds like a good time Joe!

I also love that there is little to no traffic out in SW. We saw some motorcycles, but didn't run into any vehicles.

The next canyon over from Pumkin Eater is called the "V notch" trail...it's another really fun canyon and is around the same degree of difficulty. You might want to give it a go sometime.

I took you, Dan and the rest of the gang up Achy Breaky along with other stuff that time last year we all went out there.

The trail that I'm working on is way south of all the SW trails. It's off the Wild Wash exit on the I15 on a mountain close to Stoddard Mountain. Do to other runs/events I hope to have it cut through in a couple months. This trail will undoubtedly be the toughest trail in the SW area.

Hey Curtis. ..how you been.
It's on the east side of the freeway and northeast of Wild Wash. It's out by the old Wild Wash canyon trail if you know the area.

I'm good. Sorry I missed your run last weekend. But that's what I get for not paying attention.

Ok, cool. I didn't know we already did Achy Breaky. I'll have to do it again now!

A little B.D. souvenir from Pumpkin Eater. Time for some corners...
