Thanks everyone for coming out. It was a great time on the trail as well as at camp. Y'all are a great bunch of folks to hang with. I look forward to the next time.

Unfortunately I didn't see this post until after I got back home. We had 15 rigs all together in one group, and we moved along pretty well.

Look for a run the weekend before it closes. Went out there once on the last weekend, Oh man what a traffic jam at one of the pinch spots.

I had just as much fun as anyone else, and it was my pleasure setting it up. I'm glad your family enjoyed it. We were talking around the campfire, and I'm looking at setting up a Calico run for the second Saturday in January. Hope you can make it.

DaK I screamed like a 5 year old girl who saw a spider the size of an apple.....

Took all night to convince the sacrifice, NOT to tell mom, that part....

How did your jeep run on the way home? Let me know what was causing the problem when you fix it. I'm curious to hear what it was.

Nice meeting you and your friend

hahaha, you like that? I had a slight bend in my tie rod before the v notch, and it just kind of taco'd while in there. Able to straighten it out enough for the rest of the day. I think my wife has a video showing the actual point it bent. Pretty funny, and now I know not to do that again.

Yeah, I am just going to get the ZJ tie rod. Direct swap. Shouldn't be too expensive. Eventually I am going to a real dana 44 up front, so I don't want to waste too much money on a Currie set up right now.

But what's a trip without a little carnage?

If you look at my pictures on the last page, I managed to grab the point where your tie rod was bending, you can see one wheel is straight while the other is turned.

EDIT: JK didnt post it, here il post it here

The thing ran perfectly fine all the way home i have no clue what it could be. I checked the codes and it threw a P0138 which is the downstream O2 sensor which is brand spankin new. I'm lost

On a side note it was great meeting you too looking forwrd to the next run.

Yah that's where it kept pulling you driver into the rock when I was trying to get you to go passenger. Lol.

Yeah! I knew something was wrong when the steering wheel was turning passenger but the tire didn't budge.

Get it from a drivers side drop Fsj (heck grab the complete axle)...it's WAY beefier than a Currie ...just remember to grab the pitment arm like we talked about...

Definitely want to go that route. And you have inspired me to do the whole Wagoneer D44 swap. I just know it will be too challenging and expensive for now. But you can bet I will be tapping into your knowledge when I am ready!

Being that the ZJ is literally a direct bolt in for a TJ D30 front axle, I am just going that way for now. I can buy them cheap from a local auto parts store, and they are way beefier that the TJ tie rod. Unless of course you have a good lead on a Wagoneer D44 for a decent price...

But now we are getting off topic, this might belong in the tech section
