I would have reacted pretty strongly to that Jeff. If his dog is that aggressive then 1) he shouldn't have it out in public in an offroading area where non-aggressive dogs are common and 2) I would have told him if that since his dog is that agressive, then it's his responsibility to keep him inside HIS Jeep, not telling everyone else to keep their dogs inside their Jeeps because his is extra-aggressive.

I agree with you completely. But I was a guest with another Jeep based forum and did not want to cause any issues with anyone. Had I just been with people I know, I would have done as you stated.

Dogs are all welcome in my opinion, except the other guys pit. I have friends that have those dogs and they are perfect animals and kid friendly. It is how they are raised and obviously this other guys dog was raised to be some what aggressive. Those animals are not welcome with the public in my book and they need to stay home. I have been with your dog and they don't come any friendlier. I have had many dogs in my past and I wish one of them could have been as fun as yours.

OK gang, for the past few Meet and Greets we have had, we would meet at the base camp Friday and relax, get to know each other and just kind of settle in. For dinner we would make our own meals and gather at a centeral location or maybe hit a local resturaunt. On Saturdays, we wheel all day with a lunch break around 12-1 o'clockish. Go back to camp and have a pot luck dinner with everyone involved. So far the pot luck has worked and seems to be the way to go. I just want some feedback before I start further plans for the event. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I am looking forward to your reply.

It may be that my wife and son will be coming along so we may just have social hour and then go our own way for dinner. I will know more as the time gets closer.

what kind of beer do you like, i make and love mostly IPAs. I can have enough time to plan and brew something good. I can make a light blond, pale ale, or a killer IPA that will only take a couple to get you really buzzed.

I like darker beers. Bass, Fat Tire, Arragont Bastard, New Castle, etc. Hoppy beers are great.

I thought the date had been finalized as the last weekend in March. You can also find this campground by looking up Blair Valley in Anza Borrego State Park. It is off of the S2 about 4 or so miles south of Route 78.

There is always room for more members. The campsite is a first come first serve primitive group camp.

The official date is Friday March 25 thru Sunday March 27.

I will get the gps co-ordinates from my book again and repost. (By the way, I highly recommend this book for anyone who does not already have it...

It's located around Mile Post 23 on the S2. Check out page 193 in the book "Guide to California Backroads& 4-Wheel Drive Trails" on page 193.

She looks much different Than the last time you saw it got the new axle under it and 35s. The drive down without gears would probably be horrible lol

Anyone know what kind of trails we are doing? I've got a 98 Sport with a D35/ D30 Combo and don't want to snap it. My 2004 LJ I don't worry about due to the D44/D30 (chromoly) combo. I know its a little far out.... Are we more geared for just smooth driving or are we geared for more technical things?

Im still a maybe...

This will be my third time out there with my 35/30 combo on 31s. There are a couple of tough sections, but nothing that is extreme. I did it my first time when my YJ was still stock with flat, worn out springs on off brand AT tires. I did fine. The majority of the terrain is at easy to moderate ratings with a couple of difficult sections that require 4lo and a good spotter.

The 2004 will definitely go...but... its always fun to have your own jeep instead of being the passenger.
