Where do you stay in Borrego? Not Sure primitive camping will be good for Jyll.

What trails are we planning to go on? I guess I am assumng they have names
How would you rate them?

We have stayed at the Borrego Springs Resort (Golf Resorts San Diego, Golf Vacations Palm Springs, Golf vacations in San Diego and Palm Springs) for the past 10 years and have always enjoyed it (they also just remodeled all the rooms about a year ago). There are trails out there ranging from "Experienced" down to just plain "Sunday Drive." I have not been out to "The Squeeze" and "Heart Attack Hill." But I have explored up to "Sandstone Canyon" in "Fish Creek Wash". There is something out there for everyone.

RubiDubi, you will be fine with your JK. Parts that are tough are, in my opinion, scarier to look at than to do. You can google videos of the tough sections to get an idea of what to expect.

Boy have you missed out. While you were MIA it was discussed and everyone agreed that it is your responsibility to bring all the food and beverages along with firewood for everyone coming. Please let me be the first to say "Thanks for stepping up"!!! We all appreciate it.

Put me down as a maybe. Need to start working the plan to align the start, get some gear, get rid of the kids for the weekend, etc, etc. If I can get all that worked out then I'll be there!

This is a little off-topic but...
- Is it legal to drive with a tow bar on the front of the Jeep in California? I would think "yes" because I see people with Stingers all the time.

I can't actually say for sure regarding the law, but I can say that I've done it and I've seen others do it and I've never heard of anyone having a problem.

Bringing the kids isn't the problem..lol. I don't want to put the back seat back in as I need the room for the gear, so that leave just the two front seats and one of those is mine and that leave one empty and two kids! I'm working on getting a off road trailer for the jeep so I have someplace for the gear, but I haven't had the cash yet. Well....I could tie the kids to the bumpers???

Cons... If you need a had with the gears..give me a call. I'll PM you with my number

^^^ That makes sense. We have 2 kids also, (from Turdettes first marriage) and don't have the space for them and gear at the same time. Hope to find a trailer also. Been checking out landscaping trailers on Craigslist but not finding what I want for the price I wish to pay.

Hey Guy's! RUbi you will not have a problem. I would bring your daughter. She had fun last time and she liked pushing dad to continue on last time in Big Bear.
I will not be able to make this one. I will be at the Mint race. We picked up the Jeep Speed class. Was fun at the Parker 425. Jeep Speed kept us busy and we burned up our Miller welder. Alot of track arm bracket welding. So anyway post picks and so will I.

I am sure a potluck will be arranged at some point and people will post up what they will bring to the potluck for everyone.

What do you say Jeff, should this be started yet?
