Of course. We do live in So Cal. Who needs blizzards and tornados. Give me an earthquake and sunny and I am happy.

Last weekend was perfect as well out there. Both nights we were in tshirts. Temp droped around 2am, but only came down to the Mid 50s.

I might not have my jeep up and running in time for the run over the weekend. Just in case anyone got an empty passenger seat i can get in on? I still want to go and I can do a whole lot of filming and spotting

If ya go topless, bring sunscreen. Gets pretty bright out there. I plan to run my Safari top to keep the sun off of us.

I was hoping to go topless and doorless. How dusty are the trails out there?

The trails are pretty darned dusty, afterall we're in the desert and wheeling on dirt and sand. Not sure how warm it'll be out there that time of year but I'm not so sure I'd go totally topless. A bikini type top is recommended because the sun can just beat you to death in the desert. I made the mistake many years ago of driving out topless for a big early summer desert wheeling trip (hey it was nice here on the coast!) and I fried out there. I ended up having to borrow a beach towel and duct tape it over my rollcage to get me out of the sun.

Good news. Should be a definite yes on the trip. Gears should be in any time...and should have plenty of time to get them installed. I don't kno if u want to edit the list or not Jeff, but it will be my jeep, another jeep, and a total of no more than 4 people.

Jeff, not sure if it matters with all the plus one and twos but my wife and son are going along too as I mentioned earlier. I just don't want to surprise anyone when they show up and they were not on the list.

The list is just a good idea of who's coming, not a list of "approved" people. If at the last minute anyone decides to show up and your Jeep ready and is up to the trail, come on down!

Agreed, I was just trying to keep track of how many people to expect. I am hoping that with the large turnout we are looking at, a few other people who may have been nervous about going on a trail will be more willing to come along for the experience.

The MnG is next weekend, right? I'm looking forward to it. Anybody staying in Borrego Springs Friday night? We're going to be at one of the hotels there, and then driving out to the campsite in the morning.

The convoy from Ridgecrest (Kauka, Cons_Table, Keens and One other, sorry don't know there name) will be heading out about 0900 Friday. It should take us about 4-5 hours to get there. I plan on sitting Friday night sitting by a fire and making Smores with the kids and knocking back a few with the bigger kids!

I don't know if we will need it or not but I will bring a couple of fire permits that the Forest service puts out U.S. Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region just in case.

I'll bring a fire ring and some wood too.

We will be bringing a Sheppard’s bread concoction that the wife whips up. I think it will go great with the chili from beantown. You can eat it on it own too for those who don't have the chili. I'll bring a bunch of supplies to make Smores too.

So for Turd you can add +1 adult and +2 kids to my ride. The kids are 14 & 15 I know someone asked about the ages before.

I'm game for John Bull too. I've never been there so next weekend you guys that have, can tell me if my rig will make it or not.
